I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the return policy enforced on 4/2/2024 at 2:00pm by the manager, Dagmar, at the Cave Creek, AZ Walmart location. My recent experience at the store left me feeling misled and unfairly treated.
Despite the clear signage displayed at the counter, which states that items without a receipt can be returned for store credit, with the requirement of presenting ID for transactions over $10, Manager Dagmar insisted that anything over $25 cannot be returned without a receipt under any circumstances. This directly contradicts the policy outlined on the sign and and Walmarts website and left me unable to return an item for store credit as indicated.
As a loyal customer of Walmart, I expect consistency and fairness in the application of store policies across all locations. Manager Dagmar's refusal to adhere to the stated return policy not only resulted in inconvenience but also reflects poorly on the integrity of customer service at this particular establishment.
I urge you to investigate this matter promptly and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to rectify the situation. It is essential for the reputation of Walmart to uphold its advertised policies and provide customers with a satisfactory shopping experience.
Edit: 4/4/2024 The store General Manager just called me and said they have a set of return policy exceptions printed out in a binder, out of public eye. Yeah, ok. She never mentioned anything about items $25+ not being returnable without a receipt. Her and Dagmar are clearly not on the same page. The GM was polite but clearly did not have much passion about understanding the problem. Every other walmart store has no problem following their advertised return policies. Including the store in Phoenix that allowed me to process this return 30 minutes after my attempt at this location.
