Dr. Tse and his team did a wonderful job on the procedure my baby needed. In addition to the technical aspect they went above and beyond to comfort my child during it, and to show us parents kindness and compassion.

My family's experience with Sports Medicine at Seattle Children's Hospital was horrific. My 10 year old daughter went to SCH after injuring her knee during a weekend soccer game. The PA, Jeannette Kotch, evaluated my daughter and gave a clinical assessment of an avulsion fracture. She ordered a x-ray that was normal. Despite this, she still insisted it was an avulsion fracture and put my daughter in an immobilizing brace for 3+ weeks with an expected 3+ weeks of physical therapy to follow. This ended my daughter's season. It was an immediate emotional Niagara falls of tears. My daughter was devastated. We were told that a radiologist would look at the x-ray the following morning and we'd be contacted if there was a different diagnosis. As we followed up with SCH to get the x-rays to take to get a second opinion, we noticed that the radiologist found the x-ray to be normal, but we were never contacted by Jeannette Kotch or SCH. We proceeded with another appointment at Polyclinic Sports Medicine who took an additional x-ray and the radiologist there was very skeptical there was any fracture. After ordering a MRI, the imaging delivered the results that there were no fractures, never were, and all ligaments and tendons were fine. The only evidence was of minor bone tissue and my daughter should get out of the immobilizer immediately after having it on nearly 3 weeks. The incompetence and lack of thoroughness by Seattle Children's Sports Medicine and Jeannette Kotch ended my child's season, devastated her emotionally for weeks, and all a result of a rush to brace up a child's leg for a month without getting imaging confirmation -- or Physican Assistant Jeannette Kotch does not know how to read x-rays, and at the least she should have ordered a MRI.

Just got back from SCH-Ortho, saw The PA Koch. She ordered the x-rays, showed them to us, had a great bed-side manner, and even gave my little one a multicolored cast!!
