I have been dealing with pain for 8 years in my neck and no one can seem to help me. I cannot take coating so alot of medication is out for me. In the meantime I have tried everything natural that exsist as well as a cortisone shot in my neck that didn't work. My doctor got me into a MRI machine despite my pacemaker and I was referred to Stephen Johnson. I was very excited because I have a long history of medical issues and all my physicians at the UW have been amazing. This doctor was such a disappointment. He referred me to a pain clinic and told me it would be awhile till they could gete in, when I asked him if there was anything he could do to help me in the meantime, he looked at me smugly and said "no". I then tried to refill my prescription of Lyrica, which is the only dam thing I take for relief, and he refused to give me 7 pills so I could make it through the week until I see my regular doctor for a refill because the pain clinic couldn't get me in till March 3rd!! I hate medication an despise that I have to take any just to make it through a day without pain. I have given up my daily workout and experienced severe depression due to this chronic pain. This doctor did not care one bit how much pain I have experienced and how many hoops I have jumped through to try and help myself. He is arrogant and has no empathy for his patients. I would not recommend him at all unless you want to leave feeling feeling worse.
