I went through this clinic for laser ablation surgery. They did an awesome job. I still have seizures, but my seizures were bilateral and surgery was on the more active left side. Doctors were amazing! Thank you!

The Regional epilepsy center at Harborview medical center provides amazing care and the staff and drs are outstanding ..I had a left temporal lobectomy in 1985 however my seizures are in my mid temporal lobe so now I have a seizure alert service dog and a VNS and live independently thanks to drs George and Linda Ojemann and Alan Wilinsky

I chose this facility and Dr. Hakimian due to excellent reviews, the doctor being triple board certified and it being a Level 4 Epilepsy Center. Boy was I let down. My son is a 20 year old with autism and epilepsy. His seizures have not been controlled for over a year. I thought this doctor would shed some new light and offer new solutions. He gave us a choice of three medications to try. Then said see you in 3 months. I myself have epilepsy and have never had a doctor say see you in 3-6 months unless I was stable. We tried the medication and my sons behavior was horrible. I spoke to the nurse and told her the medication is not going to work and I need to take him off of it. She told me I could just take him off since he was only on it for 5 days. I told her I want to take him off the Onfi since the doctor and I both agreed it has never controlled the seizures. She said she would write the doctor and get back with me. I assumed that would be in 24 to 48hrs. This was Friday morning and I had to call twice on the next Wednesday afternoon because no one had called me back. I was then informed that there were others that took priority since my son was not critical. The nurse then goes on to explain how she cant call everyone back and can barely take a bathroom break. Not my problem. At some point my son needs to be a priority. Go to the ER if its an emergency she says. Meanwhile, my sons doctor did not answer my question and is now on leave. The on call doctor had to answer my question. I asked for the supervisor to call me. She never did. I expected way more from a level 4 Epilepsy Center. Very disappointed!
