We are very happy with our new house on Whidbey; Leslie never pushed us to any decision but instead guided us though the lengthy process of figuring out what we really want.She went above and beyond to show houses and especially to dig into details and small prints. She was extremely helpful in guiding us through negotiations, filling out forms etc. We can highly recommend her.

After 34 years of home ownership the prospect of bringing our home to the "market" was daunting to say the least. Our 118 year old "Craftsman" had been updated somewhat but still required improvements and expansion to bring it up to today's standards. We are immensely grateful to Leslie Foley and give her five stars for her realty savvy, knowledge, support and guidance throughout the project! Star number 1: About a year before we sold, I invited a realtor over to give us an initial appraisal of what needed to be done. He came highly recommended and had managed a very successful sale of our friend's home. As we toured the property he called out changes that may have been nice but didn't really reflect the updating of an older home and frankly, seemed to be way too much. Leslie's approach was much more thoughtful and in line with selling an older home. She focused more on the individual "spaces" it had to offer. Our basement was dry and "roughed in" for a living space and she commented on what needed and what did not need to be done. We really appreciated her approach. Star number 2: As I am in the trades and was doing most of the work myself, Leslie stopped by at least once a week and offered suggestions and encouragement. She was fond of saying don't give in to the "might as wells" (might as well tear out this wall or might as well put in a cabinet here). This could have been the road to perdition but she stopped us each and every time. When spousal viewpoints diverged, Leslie's interventions were gentle and always well received. Star number 3: Establishing a timeline for a homeowner is critical as well as knowing what to expect.Selling a property can be a very complicated process and having a professional review your schedule really helped. She let us know far in advance of deadlines we'd have to meet prior to making the listing active. Star number 4: Communication. There was never a time when we couldn't reach Leslie. In fact, I can't think of a message or call that she didn't respond to the same day even when we indicated that the question wasn't urgent and this went on for the better part of a year. Her professionalism when dealing with referrals, subcontractors and other brokers was incredible. Star number 5: For the week the listing was active, Leslie was over every evening and most mornings to be sure everything was in place and that nothing went missing. One of the last appointments actually left the door open so this was no small thing. She kept track of everything for us. Star number 6: (I know, five stars, but this is OUR review so there) What realtor do you know helps you paint a kitchen? Seriously, I was blown away and at the time we really needed the help. When we buy our next home, Leslie Foley will be our agent!

Leslie is the best person you could possibly have helping you sell your house. She works tirelessly and goes above and beyond what she needs to do. She is fantastic to work with and her ideas and sense of styling are impeccable. You definitely get your bang for the buck when working with Leslie. I am so glad I had her as my realtor. I couldnt imagine anyone else doing what she did to improve the salability of my house. If you are looking for a realtor look no further she is fabulous.

When we sold our home in Greenlake (see our previous review), Leslie said she would also find us our new home on Whidbey island where we were renting (this was May of 2022 and the rates were still favorable for sellers). I thought to myself, HOW could she possibly find us a place on-island? She doesn't know the territory. But I was wrong on two counts. First that Leslie actually LISTENS to what her clients needs are and second that she's a skilled negotiator. We wanted the impossible listing. A four bedroom house in good condition where we wouldn't have to do any immediate remodeling and an outbuilding that would serve as my workshop and possibly quilting area for my wife all for less than $850K. Leslie took us to a listing at the end of May that was pretty close but a little damp all the while listening closely to what worked and what didn't work as we toured the property. Then, two weeks later we got another call. Our perfect property was available! We were stunned. It was secluded, had a water view, was in an area we really wanted to live in and had beach access! But all the time we walked the property I got more and more depressed. Surely this would get bid up and the list price was close to the max we could afford. Leslie was unconcerned. She wrote up the offer with a smallish escalation clause but a huge earnest money outlay (we had cash from our sale in Seattle) and that clinched it. Our offer was accepted! As I write this we are still "pinching ourselves". Moving to this home has been everything we could have hoped for and its all because Leslie knows how to listen, do the required research and negotiate favorably. Thank you Leslie Foley for finding us our dream home!
