Oh my gosh!! Jan is simply amazing. Not only is does she know real estate in and out, she is a tough negotiator and fun to spend time with! She is also very well-connected and as a result we were able to meet people who lived in the condos we were considering! Even after having bought our condo she is still connecting us with various sub contractors and helping us interpret HOA bylaws! Buying a condo was a pleasure with Jan!!

We highly recommend Jan Selvar for buying or selling a home in the Seattle area. From start to finish, Jan and her assistant Ashley Azeltine, took care of every detail selling our condominium and made us feel that we were their most important client. Jan lives in Seattle and knows and cares about its neighborhoods. When Jan held an Open House, she personally represented our property in its best light; she met with each visitor that entered our home and reported back to us on any feedback. Jan took care of having a pre-sale home inspection and selected an outstanding photographer that made our home shine. We worked with Jan in our home search and are incredibly grateful for all the help, insights and follow ups she did in order for us to buy a home that is right for us. Jan was patient for over 1 year, toured multiple homes with us or by herself and gave us clear signals on whether a home was even worth pursuing. She always maintained that the right home for us is out there and we needed to keep looking. Jan provided a thorough and comprehensive research on the homes we visited and helped us weigh pros and cons, helped us not make an expensive mistake. Jan and Ashley made sure everything went smoothly every step of the way from viewing, putting in an offer, advising on the inspection report and completing the sale. When we bought our home Jan checked all aspects of the house including location, upkeep and our preferences and guided us through the process to making a successful offer. She also made sure to send a handyman on her own to check a few things about the house post purchase and shared her references for minor repairs in and around the house. We were fortunate that we got Jan's reference and she agreed to help us in a tough buyer's market. She was never tired of answering our questions or pushed us to make an offer that we were not fully convinced about, she is the best person to have helped us navigate the housing market in Seattle as first time home buyers.

Jan and Ashley helped my husband and I find our first home in this crazy Seattle market! Jan was patient, knowledgable, and refused to let us settle on any home but rather helped us find a really good home that will last our family for a long time. She knows Seattle inside and out and was able to help guide and direct us into places that fit our budget and our family's needs. She helped walk us through the craziness of all the bidding and unknowns of this market, and we are so thankful. There is no way we would have found and successfully bid on our home with out amazing expertise and insight. And once we closed, Jan helped connect and coordinate us with all the contractors and others to help finalize our home and move. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!
