From the very first time we met him at an open house (it was actually over but he came back and showed us the property anyway), he's always been there for us handling every part of the transaction with professionalism and kindness. Back in 2020 when I first reached out to Nina Zerbo about beginning my journey as a first time home buyer, I immediately felt supported and cared for. I knew this was the woman to help me find my first home. Like for several people, my life took some unexpected turns in 2020 and I ended up having to step away from buying a home. However come 2023, I was ready to go, baby! I knew first thing I needed to do was get back in touch with Nina. To my delightful surprise, I found out that I was not only going to have the opportunity to work with Nina but also Derek. I came to them as a single woman looking to buy a house in one of the most competitive markets in the country. I had all the feels, scared, excited, eager. They were so incredible compassionate and kind and really met me on my level. They walked me through the entire process right from the beginning and educated me on every step of the home buying process as well as how to prepare a competitive offer that was also still within my comfort level financially and emotionally. Like many first time home buyers, my idea of the home I wanted evolved a lot and Derek and Nina were responsive and supportive of me every step of the way, acting fast when I was ready to make moves, being incredibly flexible and accommodating when I wanted to schedule times to go look at homes and gave me many many pep talks as I found myself going through the wave of emotions involved in finding and putting an offer in on a home. When I was ready to finally put that offer in on a home, they helped me craft an incredible and competitive offer that got me the house I get to proudly call home today despite there being another offer with a higher bid. Derek and Nina are a gosh darn dream team and I am so honored that these two were part of my journey to finding my first home. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I cannot wait to work with both of them again in the future.

Derek helped me buy my first house in May 2017 in White Center, so there was no doubt in my mind that we would work together again when my husband and I wanted to buy a home together in Federal Way. We began looking in Jan/Feb of 2022 but didnt have much luck with such thick competition in the market. After looking at 10 or so houses and one pre-inspection where we ultimately did not proceed with making an offer, we took a break from looking. Derek did not ever get discouraged or annoyed, and was just as enthusiastic when we called again in early 2023. We toured another 15 or so homes, even going so far as having a contractor that Derek and Nina work with meeting us at a few properties to get estimates so we could accurately assess whether desired upgrades were cost effective. We eventually found the one and submitted a competitive offer. Derek was so patient about explaining each step and making sure we were aggressively positioned. The sellers accepted our offer and even agreed to a seller credit to some unforeseen issues that came up in the inspection. Ill use Derek to sell my home in White Center next month and have recommended him to co-workers and friends who have all purchased homes and been extremely satisfied. Derek is above all else a reliable communicator and a kind and generous person who is a joy to work with.
