We worked with Roy Brinson to purchase our first home. Initially, he was kind and polite to talk to and showed enthusiasm to work with us. We clearly told him our preferences regarding the home we wanted and the budget we wanted to remain under. His first red flag was when he kept sending us links to properties which were either over budget or did not meet our requirements. We had to do our own research and find properties which matched our interests. The home we settled down on was a new construction. He had to be hand-holded throughout the period we were waiting for construction to be completed. He didn't show any initiative and it looked like we were the realtors doing his job. We coordinated with the builders ourselves and visited the site alone. We had to ask him to schedule the inspection and he messed up there too. He didn't inform the inspector about the due date of the paperwork and the inspector was surprised as well. Roy cannot take critical feedback- when we politely told him that we have had to do the major heavy lifting, he felt "disrespected" and didn't even show up to the pre-closing meeting. Even when he showed up to closing, he looked completely uninterested. During the meetings he focussed more on himself and what deals he's working on for other people, rather than hearing us and talking business. We did not have a pleasant experience with him and would not recommend him to anyone.
