Creme brulee was way overcooked. It was so "eggy" and rubbery. The waitress said they do not validate for parking. If you want appetizers, main and dessert then you have to order the 3 courses. The service was lacking. They saw my unfinished creme brulee but never ask how the food was. We had to hunt down the sever. The service here isn't as attentive. I rather go to Charlotte. The salmon and shrimp dishes were on point. The drinks were good too. It was not super busy so wished they would space customers out better. Brunch came with scones. The scones were buttery. Decor was on point.

Really bummed, food was not great. I had been here before and was excited to bring a friend as its such a beautiful space. Both courses were flavorless and disappointments and I usually eat everything. Waitress messed up order, and had to wait for it to be fixed.

We stayed at the hotel and ate dinner there early on a Friday evening. It was excellent. The Sunday brunch was quite disappointing. We weren't aware it was Easter. The first course options didnt appeal to me. But I saw a couple entrees that did. I asked if I could get 2 entrees instead and the server said no. So, I paid $75 for a breaded chicken thigh and a waffle. They were quite tastey but most certainly not $75 tastey.

Worst breakfast experience I've ever had. I made a horrible decision-making in choosing this location to celebrate my birthday with my friends and family. I contacted them several times to make a reservation, and they told me that they do not take bookings for breakfast, but they agreed to do their best to accommodate us. That was not the case. When I came with my friends, it was chaos. The person in charge of seating the people was doing it incorrectly. I was surprised that she accommodated so many individuals in various areas without attempting to group us together. I know it was my fault for choosing such a location for a large party during this time of the day. But they were stressed, and by the end, they were rude. They overlooked the fact that it was my birthday, and the waitresses spoke to me in a rude manner, such as "what do you want," as if confronting me while I was attempting to please everyone. This is a busy location during breakfast time. We were a party of 20, and all of us ended up being disappointed, I think everyone understood the situation, but the service wasn't the best. I was saddened because I told my family that I would take them to an upscale restaurant and I hoped they had a good experience but they were so mean with me that they noticed that attitude from the staff and I ended up being so sad. I hadn't seen my family in a while, and I really wanted to share a good moment with them here. Sadly, it wasn'tthe case. I know it was also my fault, but I didn't like how the restaurant handled the situation.

The Met Grill had been my favorite go-to restaurant for the last twenty plus years, but I've grown disillusioned with them --inconsistent service, food, in my opinion, not as good as it used to be, the service charge, etc. (check out other Google reviews for more on all of this) So, I decided to give The George a try before a concert last night. From the gorgeous dcor (on par with any fine dining establishment I've been to anywhere) to the fresh and wonderfully prepared food (I especially enjoyed the spring pea soup) to the flawless waitstaff, I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. I especially want to mention Brenda, our server, whose timing was in every way perfect and who made us feel both welcome and at home. She was impeccably professional, warm, and impressively efficient at her job. The grandeur of the space matches the freshness of the food and the service, again, perfect. (The hostess working the check-in station was also on top of her game; although, we obviously interacted with her much less then Brenda.) Looks like I've found a new go-to restaurant.
