Matt and crew from Evergreen Seismic were amazing. Professional yet easy-going, patient, communicative, reliable and on-time, theyve been one of the best contractor experiences weve ever had. We were very pleased with the whole process from estimate to completion. They cleaned everything up every day and the interior was restored at the end -you cant tell how much work they did to give extra support our home. We highly recommend them.

We had an incredible experience with Evergreen Seismic. I highly recommend you choose them for your seismic retrofit. Matt was friendly, professional, communicative and extremely accommodating throughout the entire process. He took the time to really understand our home and explain everything to us very clearly. Not sure if Matt and his crew would want me to publicize just how far out of the way they came (geographically speaking) to complete the job for us, but lets just say it was a long way, and if it werent for them I dont know how we could have done it. They handled everything and it was easily the most painless home improvement Ive made (and trust me, Ive made more than I care to think about on this nearly 100-year-old house). The building inspector commented on the high quality of the work the minute he walked into our basement. Really cant recommend them highly enough. Matt (the owner) and his team are wonderful. When Matt came for a free estimate, he showed up on time, very well prepared. He had already gone through all the city data for the house and its historical construction permits, made notes, prepared the handouts for us, walked around the site and started mapping out the perimeter of the house, all before ringing our door bell. We were very impressed with his knowledge, experience, and thoroughness. (Later we found out that he actually teaches the city's retrofitting classes.). That impression got only better throughout the project, and we were very happy that we hired them!

Evergreen Seismic was a joy to work with. We had several quotes on doing a seismic retrofit to our 1921 craftsman. Evergreen quoted us the job competitively, and worked with us to address specific things that were wrong with our house, going above and beyond to make sure it was a job well done. All the people who worked the job were respectful, professional, and very punctual. You cant go wrong trusting your home to their care.

I don't often write reviews unless I'm really irritated. I am compelled to write this positive review due to the outstanding performance of Evergreen Seismic. I recently converted a property to a rental in West Seattle. My insurance company advised me that a new policy would have to be written and would no longer include earthquake coverage unless the home was retrofitted. Not having earthquake insurance when the big one comes (I'm a geologist so I know it will) would mean a total loss which I could not afford. I called several seismic retrofit companies for estimates and provided some details. Some never responded, one provided an outrageous estimate over the phone and told me the only way to accomplish the retrofit was to tear up the inside of this this newly remodeled home and significantly disrupt my tenants. None of them visited the property. This was distressing and disillusioning. After pouting for a while, found and contacted Evergreen Seismic and spoke with Matt Robinson (owner). Matt advised me that he could accomplish the retrofit from the outside of the home and not have to tear up the inside which truly excited me. He met me at the property, was on time, knowledgeable, pleasant, and took the time go over all of the details including a number of financing options. Matt provided me with a firm quote within 24 hours and his quote was 1/3 the cost of one of the other estimates I received. My insurance was due to expire in 30 days, so Matt met my scheduling needs, completed the engineering promptly, and began work on the agreed schedule. The work was completed and all inspections granted in less than 5 days once work started. Evergreen did everything they said they would when they said they would. My insurance company has since written a new landlord policy including earthquake insurance with no lapse in coverage. Evergreen Seismic and especially Matt Robinson outshined the other competing companies like a supernova next to the pale moon. The attention to detail, promptness, neatness, ongoing communication, speed of construction and reasonable price was simply outstanding in every respect. If you need a seismic retrofit, Matt is your go-to guy. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
