        Dr. Loveless is a sports medicine doctor and yet, after I described to her my classic symptoms of patellofemoral pain syndrome, otherwise known as runner's knee, she diagnosed me with arthritis. My primary care doctor correctly diagnosed my issue as runner's knee after a 2 minute conversation about my symptoms. She referred me to a physical therapist to learn a few exercises to strengthen the muscles around my knee. I don't know how it is possible that Dr. Loveless was unable to correctly diagnose my medical issue. The symptoms I described are the very first symptoms mentioned in any google search on patellofemoral syndrome.
