Dr. Paul Chae DDS

After paying $1168.00 in August 2023 for a very painful root canal I found that I have to have the same root canal removed and replaced to fix an on going infection at the bottom of that root. This is what was causing the pain. Dr. Chae knew about the infection and prescribed a week of Amoxicillin and then started a root canal. He should have known that the pain he was causing was because the infection was not cleared and stopped until the infection was totally cleared up. I now have to pay again to have the same tooth retreated and the root canal removed and replaced to clear the infection completely 5 months later for another $1011.00 on that same tooth again!! I think Dr. Chae did a terrible job and knew that the tooth was not done correctly and I am a retiree with very little Insurance coverage. I do NOT recommend Dr. Chae for and Dental treatment. I am also mad and broke now because of my fouled up Dental work by Dr. Chae.

He is the most respectable dr I have ever been with. The office staff is also super friendly and nice. To meet the most honest and professional Dr, go! Had a root canal done and was still hurting, my dentist charges for consultation saying to go do another root canal and the orthodontist guy agreed but dr Chae knew what was going on immediately and told me not to do it, instead floss around the corner. He was right, it went away after some time. The other doctors were either all bad or inexperienced.

I was surprised and delighted by how generous Dr. Chae was with his time. His explanation of my condition was delivered in lay terms at a relaxed pace. He is easy to like and trust.

Very good experience with what might be an uncomfortable procedure at best. Professional, well appointed office, friendly staff, complete transparency as to expected costs. Dr. Chae was great. If I need another root canal, I'll definitely come here again.

I just received a call from Chae Endodontics today claiming that I owed them money from a procedure 2 years ago. While this should have been a simple interaction the lady I spoke with was Extremely unprofessional, right from the get go. She couldn't tell me any of the steps they had taken to process the bill through my insurance or FSA account, stating that she didn't know because she didn't work there in 2019. I'd assume the business would keep records of those things, but she insisted she didn't know because she didn't work there then. I thought that was a strange response, but when I continued to ask for more information in an attempt to verify what had, or hadn't, been done she informed me she was just going to run the card she had on file for me. I'd like to be clear. She wouldn't tell me if they had billed my insurance. She wouldn't tell me if my FSA had paid anything. Instead of answering any of my questions she told me she was going to bill whatever card or mine they had on file. It's bizarre to go 2 years with no contact to be out of the blue informed I owe them over $1000. They've sent no bills or statements, no letters informing me I have a past due account. Nothing. And somehow I'm supposed to just pay a nameless person over the phone who cannot tell me anything more than a random dollar amount?Obviously I would like to resolve this, so I asked for her name as I hadn't caught it at the beginning of the call. She REFUSED TO TELL ME. Quite literally said "I told you once, I'm not telling you again." It's a simple enough question, why not identify yourself? After asking two more times for her name, and being told "I'm not telling you" she hung up on me. I called back but nobody answered the phone. Caller ID Identified the business correctly and the number matched the number online. I wish I would have recorded the call. It's the most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced from a medical provider. Be careful choosing Chae Endodontics. Dr Chae himself, is a wonderful endodontist, but if his staff behaves this way it is only because he allows it. There are plenty of other endodontists in the Seattle area that will treat you with dignity and respect. You deserve better than Chae.
