Referred here by partner, and it was a complete 180 from my former dentistry facility. Lovely office, great staff, overall just a nice calm vibe. I had to have emergency dental work, and they got me in the very next morning. My subsequent cleaning was thorough, really painless and full of laughter. I highly recommend this establishment.

I had an extremely disappointing and traumatizing experience with doctor Tara Sullivan. Shed been recommended to me, so I had high hopes. After my first exam she told me that I had four failing fillings that needed to be replaced. (I got a second opinion, which confirmed the need for replacement.) I went to get all fillings replaced in one appointment. Id expected the appointment to be a long one, but it went much longer than necessary. Dr. Sullivan took nearly 3 hours to complete my fillings. For about 45 minutes of my appointment, shed attended to two other patients while I was numb. Id been waiting for so long for her to come back to me that the anesthetic drugs wore off and she had to administer more to me. For this reason, I couldnt feel the left side of my face for nearly 5 hours after the operation. She offered no apologies for her delay during my procedure. I felt pain and discomfort for weeks after the operation. I went back again to have her file down my teeth and adjust my bite, since she hadnt done it properly the first time and that was causing throbbing headaches that woke me up in the middle of the night. When I went back the second time I told her that I was upset that my procedure took nearly 3 hours; that she accepted patients while I was numb instead of just focusing on my procedure; and that the discomfort if felt post procedure was unprecedented (which is a big deal since Ive had many fillings done and one root canal before - I have never had so much pain.) All she had to say was Im sorry you feel that way. She didnt offer an apology for her bedside manner, taking 2 patients during my appointment, or for the poor job she did with my fillings / adjusting my bite. Nearly five months later, I still cannot eat on the left side of my mouth. The teeth are too sensitive (even teeth she didnt operate on, but filed down are sensitive.) after seeing a new dentist, he said that the previous fillings may not have been done well and may need to be re-done. Unlike doctor Sullivan, my new dentist suggested I see a root canal specialist to understand the severity of the problem before he operates on my teeth. I deeply, deeply regret having gone to Dr. Sullivan. Not only did I spend a lot of money in her practice (for the filings as well as for the anti-cavity toothpaste and mouth wash she sold to me at her practice); but my teeth feel worse off now than before Id seen her. Her inappropriate response to me when Id voiced my concerns was discouraging (to put it mildly). I would *not* recommend going to this dentist if you need extensive work done.

My first time visiting here. Well cleaned office with a lot of street parking outside. The staff is polite. Doctor Tara herself is very knowledgeable and answers everything in detail even addressing a small detail like suggesting on what brand toothbrush i should get. I was also offered a small goodies bag that had useful dental stuff. Overall a nice experience and would recommend. I would appreciate if they could arrange their waiting area having 6ft distance between the chairs and have more sanitizers accessible to the patients waiting in the area. Update - went here today for my first ever Cleaning session. Daisy was so pleasant to work with. she understood this is my first time and i am scared and was very patient explaining the process to me. I am so happy with the results . Thank you The Dental Shoppe for saving my smile. will be back in 6 months for another cleaning session.
