Professional and friendly staff, very comfortable and clean office. The only draw back is that they are so busy, it took 3 reschedules for me to get my consultation but when I did, it was worth the wait. The team is knowledgably efficient. The area outside has a lot of homeless people just because of the general vicinity of the office location but I wasn't bothered by anyone and never felt unsafe.

!!!Complaint About Potential Fraud at Gentle Dental Ballard I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the unethical practices and potential fraud I have experienced during my orthodontic treatment at Gentle Dental Ballard. I heard the manager manage both Ballard and Capital Hill, so I want to post here as well: Below are the details of my case and my demands for resolution:Case Details 1. Signing the Contract and Beginning Treatment * In October 2024, I made a $1000 down payment to Gentle Dental Ballard and signed an 18-month orthodontic treatment contract under the care of Dr. A. * After waiting over a month for my aligners, I received three aligners on November 26 and started wearing them. I also scheduled an appointment for January 7, 2025 to pick up the remaining aligners. 2. Doctor Replacement Without Notification * In mid-December 2024, I received a voicemail from the clinic stating that Dr. A would be unavailable on January 7, and I needed to reschedule. I immediately called back, but the staff member who answered (not the person who left the voicemail) assured me that my appointment did not need to be canceled. * However, when I arrived at the clinic on January 7, 2025, I was told that Dr. A was unavailable, and I needed to reschedule. The staff claimed they had already informed me, but when I explained that I had called back to confirm, they casually said, Oh, the other person must have made a mistake. * It was only at this point that I learned Dr. A had permanently left Gentle Dental Ballard. The clinic never informed me of this significant change and had unilaterally assigned me to a new doctor.Key Issues and Concerns 1. Withholding Information About Dr. A Departure * I suspect that Gentle Dental Ballard deliberately withheld information about Dr. Xus departure to delay treatment and maximize charges. * From October 2024 to January 2025, I paid over $1200 out of pocket, and my insurance provider paid over $1000, yet only three aligners (out of an estimated 70+) were delivered. This behavior severely violated my right to be informed and disrupted my treatment plan. 2. Unreasonable Transfer-Out Fees * I chose Gentle Dental Ballard specifically because of Dr. As expertise, not the clinic itself. Given her departure, I decided to transfer my case elsewhere, only to be told that I must pay $1265 in transfer-out fees because the contract was with the clinic, not the doctor. * As of now, I have paid a $1000 down payment, over $200 in monthly payments. Adding the $1265 transfer fee, the clinic has charged me over $2500 for just three aligners. And my insurance provider has paid over $1000. This is an unreasonable and exploitative practice considering my total treatment cost is $6795 (including a $2000 insurance reimbursement).My Stance As a loyal patient of Gentle Dental Ballard since 2020, this experience has completely eroded my trust. I will not return to Gentle Dental Ballard. I urge leadership to take my case seriously and address these issues promptly to ensure patients are treated with respect and transparency.

I was in crisis. I had a cracked tooth that needed to be extracted before I left for a trip. Dr. Fletcher and his team moved mountains to get me in to see them in a timely manner. The operation went smoothly and the staff was professional and courteous throughout the ordeal.
