Everyone at the practice is amazing, talented, and gentle. Besides being a skilled, caring dentist, Dr. Emard is a longtime personal friend and all around amazing human. I am abdental professional of close to 20 years, and I will continue to see her as long as she's practicing.

Been going here for years. I'll never switch even if I don't work downtown anymore. This place fixed all my old fillings. The entire team here is awesome, which makes the service from start to end exceptional.

5/11/23 Update: I had a crown and two replacement fillings done. The crown fits perfectly. Very happy. The best teeth cleaning ever! Love the whole ambience of West Edge Dental. Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable. Sarah, the hygienist, gave me lots of good information. Highly recommend.

I was a patient at West Edge Dental from 2009 through 2022. This place has slowly gone downhill, and in my final appointment engaged in unethical advertising. I complained to the WA Department of Health but they determined that it did not warrant an investigation or disciplinary action. I started with Dr. Leiker and continued with Dr. Emard. This practice always has been focused on "fine dentistry". That means you'll get good service but it'll probably be more expensive, I mean that for better or worse is Seattle for at least the last five years. I continued as a patient there even after no longer lived in or worked near the downtown area. It was just easier, but the place has become less friendly. I used to really like the front desk people, but the gentleman at the front desk does the job adequately, but I do not get a friendly vibe from him. I'm self employed, and I purchase my own dental insurance through Delta Dental. Wonderfully for my standard preventative care, this has resulted in my insurance company paying West Edge Dental more every year than I pay them. However, in September 2022, I received a notice from the practice that they would no longer be in network with Delta Dental for 2023, this notice also mentioned their membership plan. I examined that plan and it would be just under twice the price of what I was paying. I already had an appointment in December 2022 scheduled, so I planned on making that my last appointment. No harm no foul, business decisions are made and there was enough notice in my book. During their respective procedures both the hygienist, Ms. Wilson, and dentist, Dr. Emard, engaged in a sales pitch for their practice's membership plan while the each were in control of dental tools inside of my mouth. This behavior is inappropriately coercive and in my view is a violation of the trust between provider and patient. These sales pitches lasted for several sentences and likely was a few minutes long in total. These pitches went beyond a simple mention that they would no longer be in network with my insurance company and that they had the membership plan available, that I may want to consider. They also incorrectly claimed that their plan would be cheaper than my insurance. (It is not cheaper.) If this was a simple mention of the membership plan before or after my procedure, this review would not have been written. So, if you like being sold services in the middle of your procedure, this is the best practice for you. Otherwise, many other dentists would be better.

After 20+ years with a "Top Dentist" I recently switched to Dr. Emard and her team. To put it simply, the total West Edge team service experience is clearly a higher standard of professional care. They've quickly gained my confidence in their diagnoses, recommendations, and delivery of service. At the same time, they're innovating with a new subscription service plan. I assessed it carefully relative to my current dental insurance, and am switching over to the new plan in Jan 2023.
