Incredible owners and teaching staff at SLC! Our daughter has been going here for over a year and we cannot say enough about how wonderful of an experience it's been. We almost went with another preschool/daycare and I'm so grateful we were accepted here, it has a small community and family feel and our daughter is thriving! Their thoughtfulness on engaging with the parent community and building curriculum pulling from several approaches has been invaluable. Excited for the continued growth and education and confidence I have in SLC to get our daughter ready for Kindergarten in a few years! We love you SLC! Warmington-North Fam

Our son was at SLC Montlake from the time he was 3 months old until shortly before starting kindergarten this year, except for a year at home during COVID. Miss Lily and the staff are fantastic, tireless, and enthusiastic in caring for the kids. We admired the balance they struck between supporting and teaching him, and giving him plenty of opportunities to grow and make his own choices as he got older. (One example: resuming school after a long time at home during COVID was rough for him, and they did an amazing job helping him re-adapt and become comfortable in the group environment again, spending a lot of time tailoring how they worked with him that first month.) The school is small and had low turnover, so he developed long-term friendships there, and we also felt part of a community, getting to know the other families. Any time we had any concerns, the staff was very communicative and responsive to them. Long story short, we felt lucky to have found SLC, and our son loved the staff and his time there. Recommend it wholeheartedly as a wonderful, nurturing daycare/preschool.

I cannot say enough good things about Seattle Learning Center. There is no higher recommendation that I could give. All 4 of my children attended Seattle Learning Center at Montlake. My oldest started at SLC, Montlake when it first opened and you know how hard it is to go back to work when you have your first child. The mom guilt is real, but SLC made going to work "easy." I knew my child would be well taken care of, and truly SLC does a better job than I could have ever done with my children if I stayed home. More than just a daycare, it is a community. SLC hosts special events so you can meet other parents, and from there build a village that lasts a lifetime. I am still very close to the parents I met there almost 10 years ago. On days when you and the babies don't sleep, it is SO HARD to still be an engaged parent. However, I knew that I only had to survive until morning, then they could go to SLC where there would always be someone to hold them if they were sad, sing to them if they were lonely, paint with them for stimulation, and feed them a well balanced nutritious meal. Then I had the day to recharge and be a better mom for them when they came home. Words cannot express how much SLC means to me. I'm still so close to the childcare workers that have been there throughout my time at SLC. All my children started at SLC before they were 1 years old and each time it is incredibly bittersweet when they graduate. As my youngest graduated, we still go back to visit the staff every year during the holidays, and teacher appreciation time. It's a tough choice to entrust your most precious family to others, but there is no better choice than SLC. All my children thrived in the atmosphere and I'm so very thankful for SLC everyday.

We sent all of our kids to SLC Montlake. It is a convenient location just off of 520 and a short hop onto I-5. Although recent construction made it difficult to access the past year or so, traffic should get better soon. The facilities are great with small back and side play areas that the kids love. It is also conveniently close to the waterfront park so the kids get a lot of outside time. Most importantly however, Ms. Lilly and the staff at SLC are wonderful. We always felt like our kids were loved and well taken care of. We also enjoyed getting frequent pictures on the app they use so we can see how our kids were getting along each day. I would recommend SLC to any parent looking for a caring and loving daycare for their little ones.

SLC holds a special place in my family's heart. Our daughter attended SLC for the 3 years we were in Seattle. The teachers are incredibly loving and caring. The curriculum (yes there is a curriculum!) is very creative and tailored to the children and their environment. There is a huge emphasis on child led learning and social-emotional development. As a parent, Miss Lily (the owner and head educator) was incredibly responsive to all our questions/concerns over the years. She always made time to talk with us about our daughter's development and helped coach us as parents as our daughter entered new developmental levels. I can't recommend SLC enough!
