Having a loved one who is struggling with addiction is an incredibly scary, emotional, stressful, and anxiety provoking process. I met Joyce two years ago, because I had a loved one in need of an intervention. From our first meeting she walked each and every person involved through the process of our emotions, actions and plans for the future. She helped guide the hardest conversations, to have the best outcomes for every person involved. Ultimately, she made everyone's feelings, worries, and heartbreak feel validated, most importantly including the person suffering from addiction. Recently, I reached out to Joyce again regarding a different individual close to me. This is someone who has struggled with addiction for almost 30 years and has tried repeatedly to be sober but had hit rock bottom. Joyce specializes in intervention, but she was the first person who came to mind to reach out to for guidance. I made a call to her at 9 am, and we had an appointment set in place at 7 pm same day. She was open and willing to change her schedule to make herself available for us. She leads meetings by being calm, and understanding. There is never any judgement or ridicule and she is firm and realistic. She follows up with the person who is the addict, while also following up with the loved ones. My review is long, but I have multiple loved ones who struggle with addiction. Its a hard and long road. Sometimes it can feel like a losing battle, but Joyce has been a strong shoulder to lean on for guidance and help. Her expertise is so insightful. I truly, can't thank her enough for everything she has done, I would highly recommend Joyce to anyone who has a loved one suffering from addiction and needs help and guidance.

We no longer knew what to do, but Joyce did. She taught us to navigate the psyche of our addict. Best choice our family made was calling Joyce.

Reviews can of course prove quite useful. However on the very rare occasion (I've been doing interventions for over 30 years) they rather express the reviewer's frustration and anger projected on to a perfect stranger. Stan F, M. Henry and Anonymous are, in fact, one in the same. A woman called inquiring about treatment placements for her loved one. I had not talked to her before. I appreciate she was upset about her adult child's addiction. I offered to meet and learn more so I would be able to evaluate and recommend some appropriate facilities. When I couldn't give her a snap recommendation right on the phone she expressed strong anger. I have no idea why she also has to be vindictive and attempt to harm my practice.

Joyce was a godsend for our family. We were so worried about my daughter's drinking, and there was another bad incident on Christmas night. The next day my youngest daughter handed me the phone with Joyce's number, saying, "I can't take this anymore, we have to do something." I called, thinking surely no one would be available until after the new year, but Joyce got right back to me, listened to the situation and asked if I could get together the group we wanted at the Intervention. She would meet with us that afternoon and do the Intervention in the morning. I was startled, somewhat in shock that I would actually be doing this, but gathered the group and met for 3 hours that afternoon as she explained in such a clear, calm way how to write our letters of love and concern, and why this really was the right step to take. The next morning , still dreading what my daughter's reaction might be, we did the Intervention, and she wept, and accepted our help. My daughter and I drove her up to the Treatment Center that day and it has been wonderful and healing for us all. Joyce has been checking in with us all the way. I am so grateful for her calm and clear and caring help. I highly recommend her.

About
Intervention Help, LLC

Professional help is available from someone, who, with over three decades of experience, has helped over two thousand families in despair...Addiction in its many forms (alcohol, drugs, eating disorders, gambling, etc.) tragically affects the lives of untold millions of Americans. In many families or work settings we can find an addicted person creating misery, suffering, and embarrassment. We, as family members, co-workers and employers, are baffled about what to do. Families break up, jobs are lost, years and lives are wasted. Addicts become shadows of their original selves, and some die too soon.If we are told that this does not have to be, we may become angry or sad about such a seemingly reckless or arrogant claim. But what if professional help is actually available from someone, who with over three decades of experience has helped over two thousand families in despair? What if a scientifically sound process is used?with a 90% success rate?Intervention is a proven, structured method of getting the persons concerned about the addict to work together, present a united front, break through the addicted person's denial, and get them to readily agree to treatment. A properly facilitated intervention is a loving, gentle, and respectful process. It is a highly successful method that is geared toward expressing care and concern for the addicted person.Intervention is available right now. Within a short span of time your loved one should be in recovery and the family well on its way toward healing and health.
