Chadbourne + Doss is a fantastic firm. We have used them for multiple projects, and they have always delivered! I love that they get to know our needs, and are fantastic listeners, but still bring good opinions and tradeoffs to all the tough decisions in remodels and design-from-scratch. When we hired chadbourne + doss we expected beautiful design, clear communication, and thoughtful collaboration between architects, builder, and homeowners. We got far more. Lisa and Daren strove to understand what we needed and created a design that challenged more than a few of our preconceived ideas. They focused on critical design elements and helped us let go of distraction and clutter. Their skill and attention to function, form, and bringing their clients along paid off. After more than a decade, the home they designed is still highly functional, a source of delight, and a deeply satisfying place to call home. They made our lives better.

We are smitten with the house chadbourne + doss designed for us. It plays well in all seasons. When we do find the next project, chadbourne + doss will be our go to architect of record. The attention to detail and design requests coupled with budget realities were constantly understood by c+d through the design process. The fact that chadbourne + doss understand how to build was a valuable asset in the construction phase of our project.

We hired C+D to design our house in Seattle. There are a few things that set them apart: - Clear communication: Daren and Lisa have a clear and efficient communication style, which makes them easy to work with - Knowledge of the construction process: they have a lot of hands-on knowledge about building. It has been really helpful to have them involved with the project during construction. - Good taste: we were happy to give them a high level direction and let them run with it (for example, they picked every fixture in the house). This saved us a ton of time and yielded a good result. We would enthusiastically recommend C+D!
