image I stayed here while I was in Seattle for a month-long business trip. Dealing with housing might have been a headache, but the management and service staff at the Stockbridge made everything as hassle-free for me as possible. My apartment was a wonderful refuge after long days at work, it was centrally and conveniently located, and it was competitively priced. Definitely would stay here again on similar assignments in the future.

image It was good until the end. My boyfriend and I moved here to be close to Capitol Hill, in terms of distance it was pretty good - close to restaurants, ~8 minutes to the grocery store, and ~12 minutes to the nearest light rail station.
Over the year we had some small nuisances, such as smelling cigarettes and weed (management posted reminders), maintenance with a few days notice (they shut down the water for more than 12 hours once), washer and dryer machines repeatedly under maintenance, and occasional loud neighbors. Other than that, management was sweet at remembering birthdays. It was good if you enjoy Capitol Hill and it is affordable compared to nearby apartments. The rent increased by 100 when we were leaving.
The problem was the 400 deposit. We only received 25 dollars back, which was shocking because we never wore shoes indoors, and we had vacuumed and cleaned before we left. They charged us 125 for cleaning (fan, blinds, floors, cabinets, etc. were marked dirty - though we did forget to clear out the freezer, 125 is still excessive) and 250 for repainting (we couldn't get one an oil stain off the kitchen wall, but we were charged for all rooms, including the closet). When we looked at other reviews on ApartmentRatings, our situation was certainly not isolated. Nowhere in the lease did it mention that tenants were responsible for repainting charges. We did notice that they do a quick job of repainting without sanding, so a few of our books on the built-in shelves were damaged because the paint tried sticking onto them.

image I have lived at the Stockbridge for over three years now.
Amazing location...centrally located to downtown and super close to numerous bus lines. Janelle the manager and Paolo the maintenance guy completely compliment the Stockbridge experience. Super responsive to maintenance requests, tenant concerns, and other issues. There are also personal touches that make me sign the renewal lease every year.
The building is clean and well taken care of. In a year of crime and safety issues i have never not felt safe at the Stockbridge. Highly highly recommended.
