Janus Apartments

All 5 stars for the property manager Everlyn and Maintenance manager Kevin! Everlyn is an angle, shes so kind and so sweet and truly gem of a human. I decided to move in because how I safe I felt with her, and she hasnt changed at all since I moved in, still so kind and easy to communicate with. Kevin is really quick to respond to repair, and is like a knowledgeable grandpa that looks after the community. The property owner definitely should compensate these two gems well, they are the No.1 reasons a lot of tenants continue to live here.

I lived here for two years and absolutely loved it. The building and apartment layouts are designed really well. Plus, living across from a grocery store is the epitome of luxury for me. If you have a dog, the surrounding neighborhoods are perfect for walks. The community is super dog friendly and everyone is supportive and kind. The best part about the building though is Everlyn and Kevin, who are amazing and go above and beyond to make this a great place to live. In my opinion, Greenwood is the best neighborhood in Seattle and Janus apartments is easily the best complex in Greenwood. Only reason Im leaving is because Im moving out of state. You cant go wrong with living here!

It pains me to write a negative review of Janus, because the building manager & on site staff (Everlyn and Kevin) are fantastic, responsive, and wonderful caretakers of the building and community. Unfortunately Everlyn and Kevin are receiving no support or resources from upper management to deal with an ongoing safety issue at Janus. For over a month squatters have occupied one of the units, and are actively and boldly dealing drugs from the unit. Its a long story, but unfortunately the result is I cannot recommend living here - upper management at Janus isnt taking our safety concerns seriously. Residents and homeowners are ringing the alarm through emails, calls, 911 incident reports, and calls to our local councilman, but the situation is escalating all while upper management drag their feet on solutions, or at a bare minimum reasonable and robust safety mitigation. It is outrageous that people who are jumping the fence and propping supposedly secure gates open to deal drugs out of a unit in this building in the open are being prioritized over the safety of the residents and neighboring homeowners, many of whom have been directly threatened. The negligence of Janus properties is stunning, and leaves us frustrated, fearful, and despairing. Look elsewhere.
