    The space we have is beautiful and Sean was so helpful and accommodating when we first moved in but a number of items have come up that concern us living here including: - I placed 3 requests for work / equipment repair when we moved in and 8 months later, none of these items have been addressed or worked on despite my work requests being resolved - the parking garage has failed to work for more than a week or so for the past few months, leading to great inconvenience having to come down and wave at the garage door to let my roommate in. The management response when the doors wouldnt open at all was to keep them open completely until 5 PM wherein a number of suspicious people were able to come in. - My roommates items have been stolen from his car that was parked in the garage - We also have had the same parking spot for these past 8 months weve lived here when all of a sudden we get a note stuck onto the car saying that this was now someone elses parking spot and to be nice they werent going to tow us even though it had been our assigned spot. We eventually got this cleared up as well but this was also an inconvenience that could have been avoided if proper documentation would apply. - The garage door eventually FINALLY was fixed (fingers crossed) but more fob readers have broken where we cant access doors and elevators when we need. - We have personally encountered a number of people sleeping at the front waiting area after hours since there is not a person who stays at the building at night and there is no 24/7 security (as I had at my last apartment). - We have personally needed to address suspicious people gaining access and taking peoples packages. - In addition, there are a number of homeless people that frequent the exterior of Barclay. This doesnt help that unfortunately were on the first floor (our own decision) and we have a private door directly from the sidewalk. But we didnt realize the extent this would be a risk. We have heard a number of people trying to open our doors at night. We can never open our blinds as the last time we did, a homeless man came into our fenced patio and peered in through the glass. Our welcome mat was stolen. - There is an after hours number to call but no dedicated night staff or security to call for help when there is a fear or concern. However there are pros, our space is beautiful. The apartment itself and proximity to public transportation is great. The management team is very responsive and is trying their best to help with these issues but I personally dont feel like it is enough. I understand that the garage tech wont be able to address the issue ASAP but to have the garage break every single week after its been fixed has been a horrible and concerning experience. Due to the safety concerns, we wont be renewing our lease.
