Its been two month since I moved out and I still have not received my deposit back. Every time I try to contact the manager, I either get no response or youll get it soon. Also the place is infested with cockroaches, no matter how many times the exterminator comes.

I lived here at The New Pacific in the first few months of my move to Seattle. Stein and the management team of the building where kind and helpful to me from the moment I moved in to the moment I moved out. The building is old and has a lot of character. It also has some strange quirks. It isn't for everyone, but if you are looking for a place with a great location, kind management, and pretty affordable rent you should check it out!

I am disappointed with my experience at The New Pacific. If you decide to live here, get written proof of everything discussed with management, otherwise they will not always hold up their end of the deal. Do not expect to get your deposit back. When I moved in, my unit was unfinished, and I was told repairs would be made within a week. This turned into weeks. The main light in my apartment wasn't in working condition for months. The owner finally came and apologized to me, which I appreciated, but it's worth saying that if you live here, don't expect things to get done in a timely manner there was just too much maintenance needing to be done in that building for one maintenance person to handle, imo. I was unfortunately hospitalized unexpectedly for 4 days during the time I was supposed to move out, so I arranged for my friends to move out my things and clean the apartment for me, which they did well. Because I wasn't able to be there upon moveout, moveout procedures weren't conducted normally. Since moving out nearly two months ago, I have tried to contact management several times to discuss my deposit, and they have simply gone completely radio silent. This has sadly soured my view of the people I thought had my best interests in mind and who seemed like good, honest folks. That being said, it was an affordable, generally calm place to live. The people who lived there were all vetted carefully and seemed kind. The common areas were regularly cleaned, and there were regular bug treatments for the cockroach infestation, which I was informed of before moving in, so that's okay. Overall, just be aware of what you're getting yourself into before moving here.
