studios at this price are a tough sell. it's a hundred year old building so the ~$500 premium for a studio vs. a comparable 2 bedroom unit sharing rent between two people might not make sense. it's a pretty decent location besides parking which is a nightmare (especially when moving in and out) so I suggest going carless. most of the units have fairly boring views. the manager is very friendly and I had no problem with repair requests.
losing some stars because I was charged $450 in cleaning fees despite keeping the studio apartment clean the entire time I was there and spending a considerable amount of time cleaning. $150 for the carpet, $100 for the blinds (which probably cost $50 to straight up replace) and $200 for everything else which I cleaned myself first. there might have been two hours of work to clean everything to perfection which means the cleaner is making $100 an hour. surely something about this can be changed
