Wonderful experience. Management is a call away and the onsite manager is next door. Maintenance is extremely fast and responsive and building is very clean. When I lived there cleaners were at the building twice a week. Definitely an older building but was pleasantly surprised by how updated the units were. Moved into a condo out of the city, but Would recommend this building to anyone.

Great location! Units have been totally remodeled, but keep the vintage charm. Good community.

I have lived here for 8 years and I love this building. I have a good relationship with the manager, who lives on site. The owner is understanding and as responsive as possible. The neighborhood is very central and everything is within walking distance, as well as great access to transit. If you're an active person you can easily walk down to the amazon campus, or to pike place/westlake downtown area. Most of the apartments are newly updated, for an old brick building it has a lot of advantages over others like it; things such as nice windows! And a cleaning service that tends to the common spaces weekly.

I never review things but I had to this once to let other people know about this place. 1st issue: The management doesn't really care enough to put repairs or maintenance as a top priority. After our disposal broke, we needed repairs and repairmen were sent to a completely different unit to repair the disposal. Also, when we got bed bugs and asked for an exterminator, she gave us the contact information for one and implied that it would be on our bill. Which brings us to... 2nd issue: This place gave us bed bugs. Our next door neighbors had their apartment fumigated and shortly after, we noticed we were starting to get bites, too. The management didn't really acknowledge that it might have been a thing that they needed to address because, as I said before, they gave us the contact info of an exterminator and implied it would be on our dime. (Btw, if this happens to you while you live there, I implore you to look up Tennant's rights) 3rd issue: There's a beautiful community garden in the back of this apartment, along with an alleyway. This means that this is a prime location for homeless people to linger around, looking in car windows, sleep on the benches, and rifle through the garbage. I get it, these people are down on their luck and don't have any other place to stay. But from the window, I've seen people shooting up heroin, shouting in the middle of the night over garbage, and loud threats to kill each other. It's not an area that I felt safe throwing out the garbage most times. This issue was not mentioned when we were moving in. And... The 4th issue: if the majority of other apartments in Seattle are somewhat up to date, this building is probably still in the 1950s. The owner will only accept rent checks that have been mailed and the post mark needs to be dated by the 1st or you get a late fee. The owner also doesn't cash the checks right away so one month, after trying to get in touch with him to see if we needed to pay a late fee (and not hearing back for several days about whether our mailed check reached him in time) we sent another check so as to not face eviction. The owner then promptly cashed both checks at the same time, leaving us 300 dollars overdrawn. In the owner's defense, he did send a check to cover the overdrawn fees, but I don't really think that negates all of the other negative traits of this building.
