Moved here from a slum lord place in Renton in '21. Even if I had come from a decent place, I would still rate Sandridge as a 5/5. The property manager Michele is amazing, maintenance responds quickly and does a great job, and despite there being a few big repairs done to the property in the last year, rent only went up by roughly 5%. On the building side, yes it's a little quirky design wise, but it's all in good condition. Noise level, there is hardly any and this is right next to a busy road and school. If there is an opening and you're wondering if it's worth applying: Yes, Yes, a hundred times Yes

My husband and I lived here for about 3 years, and it was great. Michele, the apartment manager, is very on top of things and keeps everything in good shape. Peter, the maintenance guy, is super nice and hardworking. Things that needed to be fixed were always fixed promptly and well. The apartment itself is spacious, with lots of storage, a real wood-burning fireplace (that works!), and a huge kitchen counter. They're not kidding when they say the walls are soundproof; we never heard our neighbors. My husband and I liked the neighborhood; it was great for walking in, and you can get to Magnuson Park in just a few minutes. There's plenty of street parking on 62nd, so we never paid for a parking spot in the garage. There are also bus lines that run up and down Sand Point Way if you take the bus. Convenient access to U Village, UW, and Wedgwood. Best place I've lived in Seattle.

Lived here a few years (~2017-2021). If I had to break down my time there into pros/cons: Pros: * Across the street from Magnuson Park, beautiful in the summer * Close to the Burke Gilman trail which is perfect for long bicycle rides or commuting to the University (20-25 minutes) or Downtown (50-60 minutes) * Enclosed parking garage Cons: * Property management severely deteriorated over my time living there. Communication with the super felt like it often had an underlying tone of hostility. * If you have an apartment facing the busy road the sound of the road will be constant. * Also if you have west facing windows, the apartment will be extremely warm in the summer. --- Edit: I decided to retroactively subtract one more star from this review after reviewing the landlords behavior upon move out. This included coming into the apartment and taking photos without permission for a "pre-moveout" inspection. If living here I would advise residents to be extremely defensive with interactions. Edit 2: As the property manager has chosen to comprehensively respond to my review, I will address two things. First the defensive tone seen below was seen when dealing with different issues. Secondly there was no indication that photos would be taken during the preinspection and secondly using those photos to represent the apartment after I had left as a final state of the apartment was inappropriate. I would encourage them not to take this review as a personal attack but rather as an opportunity to improve for current and future residents.

Hello David, I am sorry that you feel that management deteriorated during the time you were living there and that you felt like your interactions with me had an underlying tone of hostility. After reviewing our email interactions, I found extensive communications between the two of us. I answered your questions thoroughly, especially when you were planning to move out. In one of your responses to me you thanked me for taking the time to explain everything to you. I do not see any tone of hostility in my emails. I personally appreciated your residency very much and felt like we had a good relationship. I take my role as manager very seriously and want my residents to feel respected and comfortable, not only living at the Sandridge but also with our communications. Regarding your pre-move out inspection; on 8/12/2021, I sent you an email asking for permission to do the pre-move out inspection. On that same date, you responded and gave me permission to do the inspection. I would never enter an apartment without permission. If you would like me to send you proof of our interactions and your email giving me permission to do the inspection, I would be happy to do so. I do not want any of my residents current or past to feel negatively about their experience at the Sandridge.
