I lived at the M&M apartments from mid 2021 to early 2024 and renewed my lease several times. I had to move for personal reasons unrelated to the unit, and would have renewed again otherwise. Space is the main constraint, but that can be worked around with a little creativity, such as vaulting the bed or strategically placing the fridge. (Tucking it behind the door worked for my unit.) For me, it was completely worth the tradeoff for access and for budget. You'll know if you're the sort of person this would be a good fit for. The grocery store & lightrail are easy to get to on foot if you're a walker, or by bus in 10 15 minutes by either the 60 or 36. Having 2 routes going that way basically means half the wait time since you can take either. If you stay on the 36, Jefferson Park is just a few stops farther. International district and downtown are easy to get to by taking the 36 the other direction. You can walk to a nice view of the Sound & downtown at Jose Rizal Park 5 minutes away on the West side of the PacMed building. (A beautiful old art deco building, if you're into that sort of thing.) Daejeon Park is 5 minutes down the hill to the East, which connects to the I-90 bike trail with access to Jimi Hendrix Park. I highly recommend strolling Daejeon in the morning. There's a greenbelt to the North of the building, and a stand of tree to the South, so there's some nature to look at despite being in such a developed area. As for the building itself, it's new construction (2017 I believe) with large windows, so good natural lighting, and bright fixtures for in-unit light. There is laundry in the building, and if it's in use it's easy to take the exterior staircase to one of the other 2 buildings to use one of theirs. (M&M is a set of 3 small buildings in a row, with about 8 units in each building.) The units do run hot, so get a window fan. The other residents are friendly, but mainly keep to themselves. I didn't have issues with excessive noise coming from other units (maybe I was the noisy one lol), and haven't had any issues with crime or theft, although I didn't have a car so I can't speak to anything related to that. North Beacon Hill is fairly well to-do, so you get to benefit from that while not having to be a millionaire. The common stairways are cleaned weekly. You can hear I-90 if the window is open, for me it was far enough away that it was just sort of white noise in the background. Water pressure is good, sometimes in winter the hot water loses intensity if you take long showers. My unit had a half size sink, which was tricky at first, but I adapted. There's an onsite resident manager who has always been helpful, and for anything he can't address, building management is responsive, generally day-of. Oh, and you can watch the sunrise from the metal staircase outside the building, also recommended.

Came to visit a family member and was so pleasantly surprised! My Uncle has nothing but good to say about these apartments and I can see why! They are a bit small, but in todays economy the price so affordable! The proximity to local businesses is amazing and super convenient!! I would highly recommend giving this business a call.

very small, walls are paper thin (you hear every single noise made by your neighbors and they hear you too), the thermostat cannot be adjusted, apartments turn into an oven when the sun is out, no parking, no secured place for packages, very over priced for what you get. and someone died in apartment #c4.

Small but easy to make an efficient use of space. Clean with a good price tag. I have ZERO complaints

A neat little living place for those who want a roof over their heads. Pros: - Rent is affordable for those on a budget. - Electricity and Water is included with your rent, so there's no additional fees. - Laundry Cards are included with your lease. You do have to add money to use them via these on-site machines, but they work as expected. - The Units are pretty small, but manageable. - Wi-Fi is included with your lease. Fairly strong and works with all devices. Cons: - The lobbies are always heated. And on days where the sun is out, they can feel like hotboxes. - While the website might show kitchens. Only the owners Units have them to my knowledge, regular units are left with a Microwave and a Mini Fridge. - The Toilets (at least mine) are fairly filthy and require cleaning every two weeks or so even not being used. - The Hot water in the bathrooms only comes on when it feels like it. - The Mailbox is only on the top floor, so if you live in one of the lower units you have to walk up two flights just to get your mail. And vise versa for the Garbage and Recycling which is on the bottom. Overall, much better than actually living in Downtown Seattle. lol
