I love living at the Delamar. The building is well maintained which includes a top notch manager,, Maddy and here crew. I appreciate how the grounds are always looking manicured and the fountain is a delightful feature. My apartment is beautiful and quickly and perfect for me. My interactions with Redside have always been professional and solution based. I appreciate Ryan and all of the help he gave me in learning about the lease and expenses. I would recommend Redside to my friends. Thank you for being a strong team and always wiling to help.

The Del La Mar is a charming vintage building. My first floor one bedroom apartment has radiator heat, old claw foot tub, gas stove, rollout Murphy Bed, funky kitchen cabinets, tiny outdated fridge, and lots of oversized windows providing natural light. Being on the first floor faced on Olympic Place, and the alley which has constant traffic, both pedestrian and traffic all the time, along with eyesores like the Goldbourrgh Apartments and its less than savory tenants clientele, providing a cacophony of sounds day and night. If you are up for lots of street noise and a Section 8 apartment building across the street, its an ideal location if you like those things. The upkeep of the building is minimal. Basic vacuuming and floor washing. The carpets are threadbare in my wing and walls are painted with multiple paint sheens and tones. The stairwells and basement storage area have burned out lights, and there is shattered glass on the floor in the storage locker area with light bulbs that have been burned out for months now. Recent plumbing upgrades have resulted in much longer tap water running to get hot water, and the apartment is very sparse of electrical outlets. Mold is a problem in the bathroom (ceiling) and I was given a spray paint can to address the problem when I first moved in mold still growing. Granted this is a building built in 1906, as a private hotel, and as shabby as it is, it has awesome aspects of charm and class. Granted a Landmark Building status it is the beauty of Olympic Place, however its clear the owner(s) are unable to keep the building in any great shape. New windows would be a tremendous improvement , as would an updated kitchen obviously its a functional space, and the other apartments Ive been in are all of a kind that of vintage charm, but simply slapping another coat of white paint on everything isnt doing the Del La Mar any favors. I do love the place, and wish it could be restored to its original grandeur, but that is very doubtful given the laissez-faire attitude of owners and management company. Sad
