I've stayed at units hosted by Melissa and the experience has been fantastic. She is responsive, attentive and her units always match the description. I foresee staying in other units managed by her in the future.

Don't expect any contact with the landlord unless you're interested in living there the next year, this means you should expect to just forfeit your deposit unless you want to go through a small claims court. However if they don't contact you after 21 days, they forfeit their hold on the deposit and you can get up to double the deposit if you decide to go down this route. I lived in 2 of the apartments at this building. Both apartments, and from what I could tell, all apartments don't have their doors sealed properly so you can expect to have very cold winters. The first apartment had its main window under sealed (the panel would shake from cars driving by) and it would often be close to the temp outside unless we blasted the heaters. The second one wasn't much better. The warning about mold is very real. Both apartment bathrooms would often grow black mold if not cleaned regularly (weekly). This is likely due to the lack of proper ventilation built into the bathrooms. If you live above someone you can always expect to smell exactly what their cooking since the apartment is very poorly built. The free wifi is worse than any public wifi I've ever used. Expect to have it drop out regularly or not work at all. The washer and dryers only use quarters. The dryers don't really dry all that well so you should spend extra for longer loads or set to high heat and ruin the fabric. Do not walk around the apartments or up the street at night alone. The area around 11th ave by the apartment regularly had 2-4 incident reports by UW police every month in the last year I stayed there.
