Leasing a unit in The Summit under Northwest apartments is the biggest mistake I ever made. I was choked by the smell of cigarette in my apartment as one of the residents kept smoking inside the apartment unit and the management did not care to fix the issue. The 2 washer units (2 washers and dryers for the entire apartment) were down for more than 2 months during the COVID-19 pandemic and the management did not take any action for the concerns I raised. During move out, all they cared about was ways to swindle my security deposit. Despite the fact that I hired professional cleaners to perform move out cleaning, they charged me for cleaning and returned me a mere $20 of my total security deposit.

WORST DECISION I EVER MADE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! My roof literally caved in from water damage. NW was an absolute pain to deal with in getting the issue resolved, it took nearly SIX MONTHS. I slept under a gaping hole for weeks, and then had to pull teeth to get NW to help me pay for an airbnb after my room was, I kid you not, taped off and declared a hazmat zone. I still have no idea what extent of noxious air I was breathing in while my ceiling was literally open to the night sky above me (in December, mind you. Because NW Apartments, after having an environmental report done, refused to share the findings with me. It was an absolute nightmare trying to get anyone in the company to deal with the issue, and for all my troubles, after threatening legal action several times, they gave me... $300. Also the washing machines smell like a bog monster took a poo in them, were constantly broken down, the entire building smells like cigarettes constantly, and the walls are thinner than the hair on the head of an octogenarian. Seriously, I don't have enough bad things to say about this building/company. If you're choosing between a NW Apartments building and the park bench, choose the park bench.
