    The building is fine and I like the people that worked in the office and maintenance but I'll never rent from Blanton Turner ever again. They will raise your rent by hundreds of dollars and never seriously negotiate. Everyone expects rent to increase year after year, but I've never seen a company try to raise it as much as this company does. There's people that have lived there nearly a decade and they told me it used to be a great place but ever since BT took over they want a minimum $200 increase every year. A lot of these are older people living off their retirement. The other thing is they contract their utilities with Conservice which for some reason cannot keep up with their billing. I moved out in Jan 2023 and my $300 deposit was nickel and dimed down to $40 because all of these utility charges I assumed I had already paid. I was getting charged for utilities from October. These were flat rate charges, it's not like they had to wait to get an accurate metered charge. There's no reason not to get your bills in a timely fashion. I transferred apartments in December '22 because my neighbor screamed in the middle of the night and instead of BT returning my deposit from the original unit they decided to keep it and withdraw it a few months down the road from my rent. They never said they were going to do that, I never gave them permission to do that so the money I was counting on they decided to keep longer then the legal 21 days most likely to earn interest on it. The whole experience felt very deceptive and I wish now I would have never moved in.

    I'll start with the good, the neighbors are nice, the people that work in the building are mostly helpful and the neighborhood is pretty peaceful. The bad is whomever owns the place thinks its fine to raise peoples rent $500 while neglecting the building. We used to have a box to drop off rent checks until that was stolen and not replaced. Their solution is to pay online with an added fee. Our call box has been broken for months. We used to have two carts, one broke and wasn't replaced, the other is held together with tape. The rooftop is a tinder box full of dead dried out plants. Do you like wasps? If so there's a ton of them on the roof. I've been stung and harassed by the wasps. The tables and grills haven't been cleaned I think ever so think twice about having people over to bbq. Somehow they have the money for a two month exterior paint job but can't keep up with basic maintenance. Jasper would be an alright place to live but the neglect and greedy owners ruin it. As expensive as Seattle is there are comparable apartments out there for a lot less money. Edit: I see you didn't address the $500 rent increases. Perhaps you use that RealPage company that's being sued for colluding to artificially jack up peoples rent?
