The building is beautiful, but somewhat old. While management does seem to be working on the many issues the building has, it's doubtful how much they can do--the walls are moderately thin, and the gates seem to just keep breaking over the years. Still, the community seems basically sane and the location is nice.

Im giving 2 stars because of the charges occurred after I moved out in March 2022. I had a 620 sq 1B1B, and paid up my rent till the move-out day already.
HOWEVER, I was billed with $359.41 charge AFTER deducting my $275 deposit, meaning I got $600+ charge after move-out (with no explanation). I sent an email to ask about detailed charges to the property management, and I heard nothing hence made no payment. After a month, I got a payment reminder again, and I sent an email for a list of charges, and heard nothing.
Then, in May, the billing department couldnt reach me via phone since I was traveling overseas, so they decided to call my friend whom was my emergency contact. So I sent email to explain the heard-nothing situation with paying intent, and FINALLY got this list of charges:
-$180 standard cleaning fees,
-$50 standard paint touch up,
-$100 carpet/balcony cleaning,
-$50 blind damage fees
I accepted the standard fees, and it turned out theres some remaining utilities fees that were billed when I left, which is okay. For the latter 2, especially for the blind damage, I have some questions, since I had no memory of messy carpet/balcony or damaged blinds. In fact, I vacuumed the place before I left and rarely used blinds because I installed curtains myself. On the phone, I told the billing department guy that Id like to get some proof or explanation over these charges. He said, hell try and get an answer.
I heard nothing for 2 weeks, so I followed up by emailing him for an update. I even wanted to pay the majority amount that I acknowledged, and only leave the amount in dispute unpaid. But I can only pay the full amount online, so I gave up on that option.
Today, I got his voicemail about transferring me to collection agency??!! Its plainly ridiculous Avenue 5 billing guy gave me a courtesy call today, and said he couldnt reach the property management and had to transfer me for debt collection by this week.
I asked arent you the same company though? He said billing apartment is only responsible for collecting money - its not his job to explain charges or not his ability to remove any charges
I had no option but paying full amount to avoid more chaos.
So for people who want to rent here, please make sure youd expect similar standard charges, which means you probably wont get your $275 security deposit back (if not charged more).
Lastly, not to mention the $20 processing fee on their payment platform, which both credit and debit cards are eligible forchanged to 1 star after this
