I've been going here for the last 8 months. Based on prior experience at a different place many years ago, I was initially skeptical. This time it was a totally different experience. Coming here twice a week has been invaluable in turning things around for me. I've been in both Dave's group and Kim's group. They are both very compassionate but also at times uncomfortably direct with some hard to face truths. With their help, I've made great progress. The team has been great at maximizing my insurance benefits and taking care of all the insurance stuff for me. I look forward to every visit.

Ive been coming here for the past 8 months and today is my last day. I must say in the beginning I didnt know what to expect or how to feel about being in this place. But in the end it was worth it. Ive learned some valuable lessons and information to help me carry on with my life outside of here. I highly recommend to anyone who is looking into treatment for themselves, family or a friend in need of help.

I am going on to Phase III, nothing but a great experience with the Seattle office, looking to keep in place strong support and accountability.

This review is only about the Seattle office: The program is very effective, but the administration side is an absolute mess. It would take days to get call backs for family members. I find that to be unacceptable considering just how serious the issues being dealt with are. I had to remind my case manager to call back my husband after 3 days without a response from the initial message. It's clear to me that they're taking on more patients than they have the ability to properly handle. Yes, it's very important to get people into treatment who need it, but if the staff are overwhelmed your recovery will suffer as a result. Also keep in mind if you take public transit it will be difficult to see their doctor if you attend the Seattle location. Medical appointments occur either at the Renton facility or the Kirkland location. It's incredibly inconvenient. I also found their policy about missing groups without prior communication to be problematic. They wait 24 hours to call you if you don't show up. They should be on the phone the second you're more than 30 minutes late finding out what the deal is. I missed a Thursday group at one point because my bus got into an accident, and they didn't call me, or anyone in my family they were authorized to speak with, to ask why until the following Monday. Unbelievable, I could have been in the middle of a relapse. Another thing that bothered me is people come and go from groups at random, making it so everyone can't be on the same page or in the same general place with their recovery. It makes navigating the program complicated. There are centers where once a group is created it is then sealed, and everyone makes the progress together until it's finished, and then they start a new group. Like I said, the program itself is quiet effective, I met some truly awesome people in my groups that I really connected with, and there are some really good and compassionate therapists on hand to augment the recovery process, but the administration is visibly overburdened. There are other centers in the Seattle area, like Northpoint, that cut off admittance once they're approaching a point where the sheer number of patients will prevent staff from giving everyone the amount of time and attention they deserve. Ultimately, my husband and I determined that I would be in better hands at a different recovery center.
