Michael and the rest of the staff are very professional and very easy to work with. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to tax preparation. They work very quickly and have always done a great job for me. Will most definitely be a returning customer. Certainly take the stress out of tax return season!!

First, we went to HR Block, which we have done a few years when the taxes were going to be especially fussy and I wasn't confident doing them myself with software alone. In past years, we must have got lucky because we had reps who knew what they were doing but this year, they gave us a woman who was unfriendly, standoffish and seemed incompetent. Instead of consulting the computer for previous information, she made us fill it all out by hand, then took one glance at our paperwork, heard why our special need this year brought us in, then sent us home. She was apparently not good on a computer at all and didn't want us to see her looking stuff up that she didn't know how to handle. Shortly thereafter, I began getting emails for more information that, as it turns out, was totally unnecessary and ultimately she told us she would just file us incomplete and we could deal with the fallout later. What?! Deal breaker. I picked up our paperwork and checked Yelp for an alternative. We found Michael at TaxBunny and I am so grateful we did. Michael was not only professional and efficient, he was personable, cheerful and generous. When our special need this year took extra effort, he told us what he was doing the whole time and apologized for what he considered extra time to complete the process (it was a half hour. We expected to be there much longer so this was nothing at all). He explained everything during the process and then went over it all before we signed. His rates were much lower than HR Block also. Tips to know about TaxBunny-- he does not do rapid returns. He does efile for you on the spot, however. Parking is across the street in the big lot by the bank and pho restaurant. As opposed to some larger tax prep places (like HR Block), Michael has actually got accounting schooling and many, many years of experience in the field. HR Block trains people to run the software then lets them do your taxes, so they often know little more than you do. End to end, we could not be more pleased or relieved to have found Michael. We have every confidence in him getting us the best refund and zero audit risk. I can't say that for HR Block (who I have now heard even more bad stories about, as I recommend TaxBunny to people. Go here. Don't go there!)
