We started the antibiotic, and within the first two doses his face had big red patches and it was spreading to his chest and forehead. I call the urgent care, and spoke with the nurse. She seemed completely confused and unknowledgeable. She asked the doctor and the doctor told me to continue giving my son the antibiotic he is clearly allergic to and give him benedryl. She then said come back if he experiences breathing problems. I was baffled so I repeated that to her and told her to ask the doctor again to which she replied he said yes continue the antibiotic. I thought why would I gamble with my sons life like that? They also couldnt give me his dosage of benedryl or Zyrtec and asked me to check the box. If you have kids you know it says ask your doctor if they are under two. They tried to tell me benedryl is better than Zyrtec, which my pediatrician and the ER disagree. I received a second and third opinion on which each doctor LAUGHED at the absurdity of continuing ANYTHING that a child is allergic to.
Another doctor even mentioned because it is on his face I needed to stop it immediately and explained the difference between an allergic reaction (which it was) from a drug reaction. If I didnt know any better, and continued that, and had to call an ambulance or wait until it got worse which it would have because HES ALLERGICthen what? Just save yourself the multiple trips they obviously want you to make and go to the ER. I know we wouldve ended up there following their advice.
EDIT TO ADD: the absolute worst billing experience. To call and speak with someone, if you wait it hangs up on you. Says it will call you back, and never does. I have to call because like other reviews mention it charges full price even after running insurance it doesnt bill the insurance. Our child is fully insured. It was intentionally not billed to our insurance. Anyways we had a three day ER stay that costed us less than the 10 minute appointment at pm pediatrics. The hospital stay included 10000000x better care for less. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Staff and care we received were perfectly adequate, but their billing services are horrible. They have been giving us the run around for months. They charged us full, un-insured cost for a visit in October, despite our child being insured. When we called to investigate, the billing company told us our child was un-insured, and that our insurance company had no record, despite the front desk staff scanning our child's insurance card for our appointment. The billing service had the member ID incorrect. We corrected it, and told them to please file the claim. They did not, and again said our child was un-insured, per our insurance company. There are no EOB's from PM Pediatrics with our insurance. They never submitted a claim. They refused to send documentation to us, so we could self-file, and have kept us on the phone for hours at a time trying to get this resolved. After three separate phone calls, they have finally submitted a claim... 6+ months later. Which our insurance promptly rejected since it was past the claim window. Thankfully, our insurance company is working with us, but they are going to require PM Pediatrics to submit an appeal, and given the fact they already have their money and have dragged out a simple claim this long, I am not hopeful. Absolutely terrible process. I will be thinking long and hard about ever using this company for services again, and would likely go to the ER over using them simply because this has been a billing nightmare.
