image I started my recovery on Sept 1st 2022. I entered this program on Oct 4th 2022. Realizing my substance abuse was only a symptom of what my actual problem was. I lost myself mentally and spiritually. I was provided a safe place to go and begin to work on myself and my relationship with God. I went through trials while here. It wasn't always perfect. Cleaning up years of destruction never is. But I took advantage of the opportunity to become a better man everyday and I'm looking forward the continuing on my journey in recovery. I'm not into making promises I can't keep but I'm leaps ahead of where I was and I do believe God led me here. The process isn't easy or comfortable but if ur honest, open-minded, more important willing. The results can be better than anything you dreamed of for your own life! Thank you doesn't do enough to proclaim my appreciation and gratitude for the changes I've been able to see in my life! Love is the only word more fitting, Thanks for the love and for motivating me to learn to love myself! #godsent #glory2god

image I was at rock bottom and was willing to go to any length to get my life back. The beginning of the program was a little rough but with the help of the staff and a little faith, things began to get easier by the day. I am extremely grateful for the Salvation Army and the opportunities it has given me.

image I had basically given up on myself when I showed up. These people did not give up on me. They gave me a place to stay, fed me, clothed me, provided everything I needed and more so I could work on my recovery from alcoholism. My stay here gave me time to work on myself and forget all my distractions outside. The work was a godsend. Not only did it give me something to do but it gave me something to feel good about. I was able to rebuild my self-esteem. They eventually hired me and I am now a functioning member of society again.
