Yo this community is a literal nightmare. My wife, myself and our 3 children have lived in the sunset place community since 2021. Since then my house has caught fire, car broken into, multiple events where our tires where slashed intentionally and neighbors with dogs that let them run around and poop wherever they see fit. This is normal neighborhood stuff that would be shrugged off except for every time you try to confront your neighbors about something they hide behind older family members who can't or pretend to not be able to speak English so a language barrier is created. My wife and I are in the next door app, and everytime we post our grievance one or all the community leaders get together and decide to delete my posts and ban my account because they feel offended. All while letting anyone in this community berate and harass us in post because we won't just look the other way. We don't bother anyone but for someone reason these tejano mexicans here think they own everything and that they are better than everyone. I'm not assuming racism is afoot but it sure is borderline. This community is absolutely not worth it. We supposedly have security but cars keep getting broken into, property damaged etc. The HOA tore down a park that was partially usable due to graffiti and damage only to replace it with a METAL slide.....its hot in Texas who in their right mind would let a child go down a metal slide in 90degree + weather??? And that's what our hoa fee went to, oh and to our non existing privately owned security officer. This community and hoa will continue to be gutter trash as long as the existing members are on it and continue to vote their families in. If you are black I strongly encourage you too find a less hostile community that values more than just Mexican culture.
