One of our favorite shaded walks on the south side! One lap is a little over a mile. Depending on the weather we will do 1-3 laps.

This trailhead probably has the most secure parking of any trailhead in our area. And the parking is plentiful. Not to mention that you can walk across the street to the airport building and use clean restrooms with real flush toilets and sinks. This is a great point to ride to the missions or south to the Medina River trail. The Stinson Airport loop is a 2 mile trail that connects to the Mission Reach trail along the San Antonio River. It has more shade than anywhere else on the Mission Reach. There is even a few shaded parking spots in the morning.
