The big hill at the start of this trailhead is a killer coming back. It's a nice trail when it's dry you can walk on the riverbed it's pretty cool. There are also lots of side trails. Has a former trail steward I recommend keeping an eye on the weather for this trail and bring WATER. BE WARNED WHEN IT RAINS IT FLOODS EASY. Don't expect to go far without getting wet. Often it's so deep you can't. Going south has a few cool locations and is more quiet, not as pretty though. Going north has more sights and connects to salado creek greenway but that's quite a bike ride for some and has more noise.

Between mile marks 16.00 and 15.00, was underwhelming. There wasn't very much coverage and a lot of highway noise. There was some vegetation, but mostly concrete around you. The path was nice and widely paved, and a good place to bike.
