La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Airport

One of the worst hotels, the doors to go in to the hotel would barely open, the a/c in the lobby or in the elevators were not functioning, as it was hot. It was more fresh outside, since it was a nice day outside. Tried to go to the pool, the pool was dirtier than a pond. Couldnt even enjoy that. The room was smaller than I thought. The lady in the front told me that they were not going to clean the room, unless I told them to. They still went into the room without my consent. La Quinta is the new Motel 8, would not recommend.

I/we stayed at this La Quinta for an early flight, confirmed a 5:00 a.m. shuttle, was in the lobby with eight other people at 4:50 a.m. but the driver never arrived. Despite everyones urgent need to get to the airport, the front desk attendant couldn't provide a solution though we suggested one of them drive and/or a supervisor be notified. When told neither option was possible, we wasted no more time and walked 1.2 miles to the airport, a dicey journey in the dark in this part of town. Found out later that the breakfast cook ended up driving the shuttle. The hotel desperately needs a much faster remodel; our room smelled overwhelmingly of deodorant used to mask odors; and most of the hotel interior is worn and rundown. Despite friendly staff, the lack of protocol for shuttle driver no-shows and the overall condition of the hotel deters us from staying here againespecially when the only point of the stay was to get to the airport.

Great room. Great for dogs! Super close to the airport. Housekeeping & front desk staff were very helpful. Would recommend! Rooms: Clean & comfy

The service was great. The age of the hotel meant a few extra noises even at night but it wasn't enough to bother me.
