Econo Lodge San Antonio near SeaWorld - Medical Center

I have stayed with Econo lodge in Rochester Minnesota a couple of times. My mother and I had a function in San antonio Tx, seen as we have booked Econo a couple of times, we thought this would be a wonderful experience as usual. As soon as we walked inside, we were already regretting our choice. The place looked unkempt, and so old fashioned. We were greeted by a young looking guy, he then asked for $20 deposit, something we had never heard of. He said they would give it back as we exited. We were too tired to change hotels, so we just stuck with it. We were given the key card to our room, knowing we were usually given 2 key cards on our hotel stays, but we were only given one. We walked into the room, OMG I immediately felt nauseous, the room was so dirty, old fashioned furniture, bathroom had blood stains on the war, taps and bathtubs looked disgusting. I started to feel itchy, bed sheets and pillows smelt gross, and had stains. Downstairs had no hot water, only already made coffee. Each time we went out, we would be asked who we are and identify ourselves when we got back. On our final day, the previous day we asked to leave our suitcases, and come back for them during checkout as we usually did during our stays at Econo lodge rochester. A guy at the reception told us that we could leave our bags in the room and come back for them. I knew this would end badly, and indeed when we were at church, we got a call by a rude man threatening to throw our bags in the trash if we didn't go back for them immediately. We rushed back, and this man was utterly rude, saying the other guy had no right to ask us to leave our bags. We got our stuff, and when we asked for our 20 dollars back, he yelled at us stating he was supposed to charge us 90 dollars for "late checkout". WORST HOTEL. Noteworthy details: Not worth it.

This place is complete trash, the front desk was out of control rude , canceled my room because he said I had too many bags,, then my booking agent wouldn't give me a refund, I HAD TO CALL POLICE TO GET HIM TO TELL MY AGENT TO GIVE ME REFUND AND HE STILL DIDNT DO IT RIGHT. LEFT ME AND MY FAMILY WITH NO WHERE TO GO, it's crazy how people come to America and mistreat Americans, we need to close our borders to these ungrateful foreigners

Just got off the phone with the front desk, the man does not tell you his name. But as someone who worked in Hospitality mangers, HR and team members could look at the schedule or time clock for April 6th @ 7am to figure out who was working front desk and managing. I had called to change my reservation and simply ask for accommodation for a medical emergency (earliest flight is the following day) causing my family stay to shorten from two nights to one night. Since I booked with a 3rd party the 3rd party said they would accommodate me if the hotel would approve the change of dates and refund. This gentleman and I quote "I will not accommodate even regardless of your medical emergency." Then hung up before I could say we were checking out early. Because of this I will be booking elsewhere and be out of $200+. Noteworthy details: Service was horrible.

This was the worst experience I ever had. There were blood stains on the walls. The room was covered in what I hope was bug powder. #Choicehotel really did fail my family and I. I could deal with the drunk man walking around, the tweaker staring out the window. But for Choice hotel to not try to work with me to get my family and I into another hotel that I was more than willing to pay the extra money for. Rooms: It was the worst room I have ever stayed in. Safety: Bring a gun if you Have to stay here.
