        I attended an awesome event at this beautiful home. It is a historical treasure trove for the City of San Antonio, with a pristine interior masterfully designed and carefully preserved. Maverick Carter House is a jewel that should be top-of-the-list for anyone planning a special occasion in Downtown San Antonio.

        Wow my grandmother Ruth woods worked for the Carter , Stumberg, an Zachary families like forever..I remember running around this house we go next door to get buenlos.The other houses too one with alot taxidermy i was terrified of that one lol Beautiful tho..I never knew I was playing in a Historic house Wowzers...Mrs.Carter was always nice to us ...An the Stumberg family looked out for my grandma until the day she passed .. even years after my grandma stopped working for them..

      Hello Tiffany, I grew up with Ruth! She worked for my mother, Emma Leigh Carter, too (Mrs. Stumberg's sister). She was a fine lady who always had a smile as well as the most beautiful skin of anyone I knew. I thought the world of her. I moved to Houston when I got married and then back home to SA and lost touch of her and Melba after my mother passed. Please feel free to contact me through the [email protected].
