My accountant of 15 years sold her firm to this company. Since the takeover my experience has been AWFUL! every time I turn around I am communicating with someone new. I have 9 people on my email threads. I have no idea who is who and I keep getting asked for the same information that was already sent by multiple different people. I have called to discuss these matters and as soon as I think I have a competent person to help me they are suddenly no longer working there. I sent my 1099 info in at the beginning of January and it is now mid-Feb and no 1099's and no answers as to where they are. When I email someone about things they tell me that isn't here department and say they will get someone to get back with me but then I have to follow up over and over. I have heard excuse after excuse as to why i get no answers and why I have had to deal with so many people an then I will have one person that will help me but that person disappears. This is outrageous. I told someone at this firm that I do not want to be in trouble with the IRS and they said oh you won't because you don't owe which is not true, there are penalties associated with late filing. I do not recommend using this company, I have waited months to get my return done and again they keep shuffling and losing my information and claim I did not send it. terrible internal communication. And to top it off, i have used Round Rock but when I all I am speaking to someone in Oklahoma who has NO idea what is going on. UGH!

Their team was exceptional and we were nervous about starting with someone new, especially a large firm. We work mostly with Sommer and she has been a godsend. Girija, Samantha, Sarah, and Laura have also been an absolute pleasure. The entire office is friendly, accessible and quick to respond.

All of the folks at Hood CPAs have been very friendly and accommodating when we called the Round Rock office. Sommer Garcia specifically has been a great contact at Hood CPAs for us regarding our immediate and future tax planning needs. Knowing that individual tax situations and laws can be complicated and change from year to year it is comforting to know we have Sommer as the "go to" person for questions, updates and support. Nice Job !!
