In May 1999, I was taking a vacation in the Cayman Islands soaking up the sun and listening to the waves lapping at the seashore, the queen palm leaves swishing with the wind, and the seagulls singing; all in a peaceful and rhythmic performance under an invisible conductor when I came up with the name, EyeLand Vision for my optometry practice. I wanted a practice where my patients would immediately feel peaceful, calm and intuitively know that they were in good hands and could trust us with the care of their eyes compared to the chaotic mall and big box stores where one is only seen as a transaction to be completed and forgotten.
It goes without saying that a business can only survive if it has customers, in our situation, patients. You, the patient is the foundation of our business, and you keep us in existence! Therefore, I knew I had to create a total patient experience that was beyond your expectations; from the time we answered your first phone call to make the appointment, during your eye exam visit and finally when you picked up your glasses or contact lenses. This required a staff that would treat every patient with respect, dignity, and empathy which could only be achieved if, I, as the CEO practiced what I preached. Good thing is that I, innately, love working with people and so, I can humbly state that we have achieved this goal and I am sure you will see the difference at your visit.
We opened our first clinic in May 2003 in Katy and then the Westoaks office in 2005. We have seen over 40,000 patients at the Katy office and over 30,000 patients at the Westoaks office. Over 95% of our patients are happy and we have repeat patients coming in year after year. In fact, some of our patients who moved outside the city or state, still make the trip back to visit us for their annual eye exams. We truly are indebted to the trust and love shown to us by our patients. Thank you.

Had to be one of the worst experiences Ive had buying glasses for my daughter. When i first went in and got the exam the Dr was very helpful and answered any and all questions i had so i thought i had found a good dr after moving from another city but i was very wrong. I should have known as soon as they started racking up the charges when it was time to pay that i should have gone elsewhere. Everything is overpriced and in order to get a fair price you have to pay an extra yearly fee to recieve a discount on anything in the store. Seems to be a good deal until you realize how much every item is overpriced. After all those fees were added up to end up walking out the door paying pretty much double than anywhere else in the area. Be very careful when deciding to walk into this store and make sure to shop and compare to other places first. After getting overcharged i expected their customer service to be somewhat good but that was not the case at all. After only two months the frames broke and i came in to get them fixed but they somehow convinced me that the frames broke because my 8 year old daughter was too rough with them. So since i can get a discount with their membership program they advised me to buy the same frames again because according to them they have never had any problems with these frames with any other customers. I knew at that moment i should have just gone elsewhere to get them but by this point my daughter needed her glasses quick so i reluctantly bought the second pair of frames hoping that they would hold up but again i was wrong. I went back after having the frames break again hoping that they would help me at the very least get the frames fixed so that my daughter would have them for school but again i was told my only option was to buy new frames for the third time in less than 8 months. All i was asking for was a screw that i needed for the frames and they said they couldnt get it for me. When i asked to speak with the dr personally they told me he was busy with a patient even though the parking lot was empty and i had just seen him walking around in the back. I still cant believe they are still in business treating customers the way they do but hopefully people stop falling for their sales tactics that they have going on over there and start to realize what they are really about. I am a paying customer that didnt go in with insurance and paid everything out of pocket with the hopes of getting treated fairly but i feel that i was taken advantage of. Please beware if you decide to shop here and be ready to pay double than anywhere else.

They would get a five if the frames selection grows. I have bee going to this establishment for 3 years and we find what we need but it would be nice to have more of a selection. I love the staff, friendly and informative with our eye vision needs.

Everyone is so pleasant and Dr. Duong is the best. He takes time that makes me comfortable, but the most important is that my prescription for me contacts and glasses are accurate.
