I ordered a small pan of assorted meat a day before and was told it will be ready by 12.30pm. I called ahead of 12.30 and was told 1pm. I got there at 1.15pm and it was still not ready. And when it was ready, I got a pan of 13 pieces of meat with sauce poured on top of the cow leg pieces..not even mixed in! The pieces of meat did not even fill 2/3s of the pan! Ridiculous! I give 2 stars because they refunded my money asap. Thank God I had time to go home and make the stewed meat in time for the get together we had later that day.

This place is too pricey for me and anyone who is reasonable. My friend and I ordered 2 moi moi, 2 meat roll (the yellow flour thing), One bitterleaf soup with half tilapia alone no fufu, One stew with tilapia, a cup of vegetable soup no fufu , a cup of rice, I small bottle of water (16.9 fl oz) and small lime rita about 10 fl oz. They brought out a bill of $70 and even had the impetus to openly demand for tips. I was flagger basted gave them $5 tip but I kept my cool. I have been to other African restaurants, and American restaurants- bombshell, buffalo wild wings, pappaduex, papa' BBQ, twin peaks, chilli's to name a few and each time we are two but none shocked me like the Cafe Abuja. Instead of visiting there again I will spend $75 in African food store recreate what they gave us and eat it for at least one week

I had two horrible experiences with cafe abuja. First, I ordered jalof rice with fried chicken. My wife and I got to the resturant and after some delay a young lady handed my wife the food packed in a carry-out bag. Just as we were about enter into our car the same girl that gave us the food rushed to us and reported that she mistakingly gave us extra two pieces of drum chicken and demanded to retrieve them from the bag. My wife and I were so dumbfounded that we did not know how to react at that moment but obliged to her demand. The young girl opened the bag and removed two pieces of checken. My wife had a nightmare due to this incident.
