Your team went above and beyond, helping me through a stressful procedure. Special shout out to Jewell, her bedside manner and gentle needle stick for the IV. Thank you all.

Had surgery, and they forgot to call in my prescription for pain meds. Called them for hours, and nobody answered the phone. Completely incompetent and unprofessional

I still recall my treatment at the HMU back in 2014. My wife died at around the same time as I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thus I was clearly depressed with the news of me having PC as well. I even completed the MS 150 whilst raising $thousands. However I was never ready for treatment mentally, and should never have been pushed into having treatment. My doctor, pushed for me to undergo treatment whilst my mind was depressed. Frankly, he could and should have said wait a few weeks, see how you feel, after all, I was not about to die! Instead he sent me to a psychiatrist. Ironically, I was married to one! However, money talks. My doctor never once mentioned a support group. When I sent him a letter with my concerns after about 20 treatments, he refused point blank to reply in writing to anything I raised. I went to another hospital after 20 treatments of radiation, but they refused to accept me as it was proton therapy which was a different type of treatment. So I had to continue with HMU. Trust me, the treatment did not go well, the pain was absolutely excruciating. I ended up getting morphine! I even accused the "technicians" all females aged in there early twenties, that the treatment (which was 40 consecutive days of radiation) was nothing more than legalized torture! Oh, and my doctor told me he knew all about depression because his girlfriend kicked him out!!!!!!In fairness, two other guys with PC, that I met every day at 6.00 am, their treatment went well. They did high fives daily whereas I was exhausted, near collapse and often asleep in the waiting room. On several occasions the nurses had to help me on and off the treatment table as I was physically unable to get on and off the treatment table. I met dozens of guys, several of whom had PC, in the support group and asked them to reconsider HMU. Whether they did or not, I cant say.Am I bitter? You bet. They gave me a wonderful book on my last day of treatment signed by all the staff, the treatment of which was 40 days long. I threw it in the trash bin as I walked out. From that day to this, the HMU never ever contacted me for follow up appointments. I met one of my doctors about a year later, in my support group, he didn't have the balls to talk to me. My sex life was destroyed by this clinic.
