DR. Palmer is a superb Surgeon and takes time with his patients to keep them informed. This is the 1st time we have used him and he was referred to us by Dr. Spinn, M.D. We would utilize him in the future. Charles Dickson (Patient).

Dr. Palmer performed emergency hernia surgery on me 4/22/2022. The surgery went extremely well but took about twice as long due to the complex nature of the problem. As a retired healthcare practitioner of 35 years in oral surgery and pathology, I was quite aware of how serious the problem was. Initially there was some miscommunication that was eventually resolved. My main complaint was not with Dr. Palmer and the surgical team, but the quality (or lack of) in the pre and post operative phases by the nursing staff. I had a very hard time getting my blood pressure medications and at one point I was in a hypertensive crisis (181/110) before anything was done. In addition, the pain management phase was severely lacking. After 2 initial doses of Dilauded, I was just given regular Tylenol with a pain level of 6. Hydrocodone, Tylenol 3 or even Tramadol would have been more appropriate. I had been a patient previously at the same hospital, Memorial-Hermann Memorial City, in 2009 for an emergency cholecystectomy. The patient care was significantly better then. I realize there is a severe shortage of nursing staff due to COVID and other factors, but that is no excuse for a poorly trained staff. They could definitely benefit from in-service training especially in decorum and exhibiting a professional attitude. I will not go back to this hospital if at all possible. I had surgery at West Houston Methodist in 2019 and the care was excellent.

I was really happy with my surgery and followup that I had on the June 14th. My room was awesome, staff was great. Followup was also good, easy parking nice clean office and friendly staff.

Loved Dr. Sta. Ana and his staff. I was taken care of very well and the surgery was successful. Easy parking and excellent care. Would highly recommend this practice for your surgical needs!
