Dr. Scott Mcknight

Dr.Scott McKnight is a great specialist in stoma reversal surgery. I was in the recovery room for just under a week and within a month and a half have fully recovered and I'm back to normal. Him and his staff are very fast and efficient at explaining various outcomes and what to do pre and post op.Can't say thank you enough to that man for what he has done for me. Its like I've gotten a second chance at life.

I've had Diverticulitis for a while and last year when it started acting up and getting worse, my gastroenterologist suggested I have surgery to remove that part of my colon. They referred me to Dr. McKnight and I could not be happier with my experience. In our initial visit he was very detailed and answered all of my questions. The surgery went very well. I was in the hospital for 2 days and recovery went better than I thought after following Dr. McKnight's instructions. The 2 post op appointments I had with him were great too, he took the time to examine my incisions, ask me questions to see how I was doing, and was very patient and kind when I asked all of my questions. I would highly recommend him.

Ive been in and out of G.I. doctors offices for years now. My consultation with Dr. McKnight today was the first time I felt like a physician ever 1)looked at the medical timeline I had created, 2) asked detailed questions and 3) drew out diagrams and wrote handwritten reminders for me about things hes considering for my diagnostic procedures to r/o surgical intervention. I was impressed with his staff and the time given to me. Ive read some older reviews and am commenting here now, as I truly think that the office staff has been working towards the highest quality care! Highly recommend.

Although Dr. McKnight is a skilled surgeon, I have to agree that his staff is VERY lacking in professionalism, empathy, and timeliness in getting back to patients. I know he is busy, as are all doctors these days, but it would serve him and his patients well if he could spend a bit more time with them showing empathy and answering questions.

I was very disappointed and angry after seeing doctor McKnight. I brought my son in after being referred to him by our PCP. From the moment we stepped foot into his office we felt unwelcome by his staff. The doctor performed his consultation gave us a prediagnosis... the scariest diagnosis we could've received, beginning with possible cancer! While trying to ask questions, he was very short with his answers as he kept walking away towards the door. He seemed as if we were a bother to him. He was rude and insensitive and showed no empathy whatsoever. He said his staff would call us back to schedule a date for surgery, that never happened. We decided to get a second opinion and I'm so glad we did. The diagnosis from the second doctor, not remotely close to his. No surgery necessary. My son and I were in tears when we left his office. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DR MCKNIGHT TO ANYONE!
