Overbooked. Understaffed. If you don't mind two and three hour eye appts, by all means. My last appt I was there for over two hours and ended the appt telling Dr. Chang I would not be returning. He was not surprised. He was well aware the mis-management of his practice. A complete disaster. You first see a clinician - wait 45 minutes. Nearfield test - wait 30 minutes. See Dr. Changs nurse - wait 30 minutes. See Dr. Chang - wait 10 - 15 minutes. No thank you. Houston Eye Associates on Gramercy is my clear choice. 30 minutes for IT ALL!

Previous to having Doctor Peter T. Chang as my wife's eye doctor, since 1990 my wife had lost a significant part of her vision from out of control Glaucoma. Eye drops for Glaucoma were not working. Upon seeing Dr. Chang, he immediately prescribed and then did eye surgery on my wife's eye, completely stopping any further damage from the Glaucoma. He is a very friendly and knowledgable doctor who makes you feel at ease with his professional, energenic and personable manner. (He is also a professor at Baylor College of Medicine.) We have Amerigroup Medicaid, but the Opthomology department at the Baylor College of Medicine only accepts Medicaid from Molina Medicaid. I would never trust any other doctor to work on my wife's eyes. We have so much confidence in Dr. Chang that each time we needed to see Dr. Chang, we would switch our insurance to "Molina" Medicaid just to a visit Dr. Chang, and then switch back to Amerigroup Medicaid when we needed diabetic supplies from other doctors. We recently found that Dr. Chang is also at Ben Taub, so we can now see him without having to switch to Molina Medicaid. It took over two decades to find Dr. Chang, and we will do what ever it takes to keep him as my wife's doctor. Sincerely, James G., husband of Penny G.
