I contacted them re: the nightmare I was in with a developer who did not obtain my final inspection on my home. The developer hired their subcontractor Jorje "on the side" to stress the cables on my post tension slab. Ready cable claimed this was one of their subcontractors & said he was one of their best stressing professionals but they could not help me with a stressing letter on my foundation for the city of houston because Jorje, was hired on the side and not hired by them directly to do the stressing on my home/ these were not their cables. I was given Jorje's number and contacted him & he claimed he stressed some of the cables on my home but some of them were rusted so he told my developer they needed repair. He claims the developer informed his crew that "they were ready to be cut" and Jorje's crew came out and cut and grout the cables on my home without ensuring a letter was written with a stressing report for the city/an engineer signed off. When post tension builders came out to fix the mistake of the other subcontractor, they claimed that they were able to anchor every single cable & that none of the cables on my home had ever been stressed, which made me realize that the original subcontractor lied. I understand that ready cables cannot be accountable for what their subcontractors do on the side, but they claimed this was one of their best stressing professionals which to me, reflects poorly on the choice of professionals they choose to employ there as he clearly lied given that if many of the cables were rusted and couldn't be stressed then post tension would not have been able to anchor them/stress them. Also, they never should have cut/grout cables that were not signed off by an engineer first after being stressed. I felt ready cables should have done more to help me given this situation knowing that this was one of the subcontractors they regularly employ. Instead I was left to be told that it was up to Jorje to ensure his work on the side involved ensuring an engineer signed off. Ultimately, I was left with no help and had to hire post tension builders to help me. Honestly, I would never recommend this company given the lack of trust I have with the professionalism of subcontractors they have working for them & for their lack of willingness to help remedy the damage that was done.
