Waited a year and half to get an appointment with her, scheduled an 0830 appointment, and she was somehow running almost 2 hours behind already.... at 0830 in the morning. Then she only spend approx 15 mins with me in the room, and was rushed and unpleasant.

This is a comment on BCM not Dr. Dhar as I'm sure she is great. BCM just contributed to a major delay in diagnosis for me. There are no places to go for EDS in Houston and not enough competent physicians to properly assess and diagnose me. I may have an extremely rare sub-type, similar to hEDS. How is Houston one of the largest medical centers in the world and it lacks every type of service for every type of issue I have under the sun? Nobody knows where to refer me to. UT physicians only takes vascular EDS patients. The fact that there are hundreds of patients wanting to get in for EDS, and they aren't taking new patients is a huge barrier to health care. I'd rather be on the waiting list 2-4 years out then not be able to get in at all. I refuse to spend a fortune on a consult or a diagnostic visit in different states just so I demonstrate my ability to do the Beighton score test again. We all really want to go here. I applied for an appointment eight months ago, and basically just one month ago, they called to tell me they weren't taking any new patients.
